Thread: So +25 is cap on BE clothes. Does this mean some skill attachments will be worthless in them?

If I have a +25 ranged defense (cap)through BE clothes. Does this mean that a +10 ranged defense CA will be worthless to me now? Or can I stack it?

Thanks in advance

The +25 cap is a character cap that is applied to any single enhancement for both BE and attachments. So if you already have +25 ranged defense clothes, you've maxed out your bonus in this stat and the +10 ranged defense CA will give you no further advantage as long as you are wearing the BE clothes. (I think your skill sheet would still show a higher ranged defense value, but according to the devs, the actual effect is capped at +25 from enhancements.) The only advantage to the CA would be to put it in an item of clothing that cannot take BE enhancements such as boots or gloves that you might want to use instead of one of your BE items.

Yes but at 25 its not even working either-- this is broke and needs addressing. Go do some simple tests if you think we are crazy..

Same hit , same thing on a person with clothes on or off -- BUT better yet do it with them even taking foods-- youll love that one.

I remember reading that you could have +25 per piece of clothing, +60 max total. Was this nerfed by an update, or am I thinking of something completely different...

Also, what is the point of getting great resources for layers? I'm using junk resources -8% final bonus - , but if I craft something that uses 3 reinforced fiber panels I've pretty much hit the max.

Or is only the highest bonus added to the finished clothes? ie, if I use 3 12% panelswill I get a 12% item, or a 25%?

A last question.

Has anyone actually tried to put layered synthetic cloth and layered reinforced fiberplast panels into armor since the CU?

the +25 is the total for all items worn period, BE or SEA mods
in one item or in 6 it is the max bonus you will receive from any one mod.

I am guessing by layers you mean BE tissue {layers is an armor term Tailors do not use}
and by % you mean + to bonus
The SC or RFP that contains the mod is the base stats, [what you get from the BE will not change #s]
if it is a single slot {wether single use or factory identical} you will get base stats - [a +14 MD/RD cloth in single will turnout a +14 item]
if it is multiple slots you will get combined stats up but not over +25 - [a shirt which takes 2x+14 and 1x+14 will yeald a +24 item, not a +28]

Modded/BE cloths such as RFP and SC are disabled in armor, if you use such componants the will in essence be wasted.
