I just hit master tailor a few days ago and boy, I am so happy I can stop grinding. Have been thinking about store organization in relation to personal fittings, and here is what I am going to set up, would appreciate feedback and refining ideas.

1. Make backpacks, Demo Shirts, Demo Pants, Demo Accessories (boots gloves belts etc), Demo Coats, Demo Dresses, Demo Wookiee Items, Demo Master Items, and Demo Entertainer items (some may overlap).... needs refining maybe if something like coats include vests etc and cant hold all.

2. Make one of every item, and put items in there in same shades say all white, but if two toned add a medium gray to show contrast. (havent decided on color scheme for demos yet however).

3.Make a color lab using maybe small headwraps with every primary color extreme and a coupla shades in between. May have to make a separate boot/glove or duster/coat display since they

4.Put the color lab in one room big enough to hold em, and backpacks nearby, and when someone comes in for a fitting, can grab shirts, pants, whatever, they can try on, get the style set, then pick colors.

I have a medium naboo house which grants enough room for this I believe, but feel sorry for any corellian people who want to do the same.

Would appreciate any feed back from you regarding this idea.

DOH I think I just found the fly in the ointment, a house can have only so many items, and thats just putting backpacks and factory crates down, had 26 in house, doesnt sound right. Will have to work out bugs.

The other problem with trading people packs full of samples to try is that you always have to have the free inventory space to pick the pack up, and the customer has to have inventory room to take it. So you'd have to limit your sample packs to a small number of items and maybe have several different packs for different types of clothing.

Not really intending to trade them the packs, more like grab a few shirts and pants, its my organization, and give to them to try on so I dont have to crank out a new one each time for them to try on

I have several outfits in various shades stored in a couple backpacks in my shop, but for customer viewing, I have set up several "mannequin" displays in my showroom. (I set up avariety of styles and colors I can do - Not MT yet.) That way they can get an idea what the clothes look like, and can order them in the combinations and colors they want.

Ah, I assumed since you were talking about fittings that you meant that as an easy way to give customers things to try on...

Personally I just drop clothes in various styles and colors around as displays. People can /examine them to get a good look at the style (and color, examine is the best way to see that in most houses).

Everytime I pick up a new skill, I got through and make one of every single item. I do this for 2 reasons: 1) I record the XP, to see if there's any new items I might want to grind on (i'm so tired of grinding), and 2) I name the item [default name] (xxx cr), where xxx is the price I would normally sell it for. Then I arrange displays in my shop, so people can pick out items they like, and know how much they cost. Customers tell me they find this very helpful.

If you are running into storage problems with your house being full, you can always add a small house and use it as a closet, or workshop, or whatever.

Especially useful since you are on Naboo and the circular small houses are only 1 lot.

Oh, one more thing. An architect friend told me that backpacks have a tendency to screw up the maximum item limit in a house. I've also heard of people having trouble with items in vendors counting against the maximum item limit, as well.

But even so, considering just how many items we have to deal with between our crates, components, hides, display models, our own clothes, etc, not using backpacks is basically impossible.
