I just recently bought a grand healer robe on the Flurry server for 11k. I'm a female Bothan Combat medic. However, for some reason unknown to me, I cannot equip the robe. I had enough room in my inventory to unequip my pack. I even stored it in my bank. Still, wheneverI tried to equip, I ended up in my underwear and it said "You cannot equip this item". A Twi'lek friend tried it on and it fit her perfectly. What is up with this? Just because I have the face of a dog I cannot indulge in high end fashion? This is outrageous. There is no indication that the robe is race specific, but still I cannot wear it.It was a good thing that the tailor is a good person and offered a refund. I'm still pissed though.

Is SOE racist? or specieist for that matter? Has anyone had a similar problem with certain clothing they cannot wear just because of their species?

Yes I have had a similar experience. I looted some tuskan raider helmets and I am a zabrak. I would noy let me equip the item either. Nor does the helm say it's species specific. I've seen humans wear them and i have been able to wear any other helm. I thought it may be because i have horns, but, if thats the case, why can I wear a sunguard, swooper helm, any armored helm, etc..?

So you had your backpack unequipped? I know you can't have one equipped to wear it.

Yeah, my backpack was off and inside the bank. I tried to take every precaution i could to wear it. I had about 30 inventory space left too. I stripped myself bare before I tried to put it on, no luck.

It sucks too that Zabraks cannot wear tusken helms. I think there are some other races that cannot wear tusken stuff either.

The thing is, I cannot understand any reason at all why I cannot wear a grand healer robe as a bothan. Does my long snout interfere? I thought maybe I had to be a doctor to wear it, and combat meds couldn't, but my friend tried it on, and I can equip the doctor dress just fine.

We should keep a running list of items that certain races cannot equip that have no apparent reasoning for it (excluding wookie gear and Lekku stuff of course) and submit it to SOE asking them why this is so. They should at least put it in the item description which races cannot equip certainitems.

Are you female? I think only females can use it.

I'd like to know this answer too, any female bothans on Corbantis, send a tell to Saryio and I'll see if it works

Okay I will definitely remember this when we get down to brass tacks and start trying to get individual scehmatics fixed. There are some that use a strange color pallete not suitable for the item. There are some that are race/sex restricted for reasons that we cant figure out. They are most likely just oversights

After this first week when I report on the major 5 things from the other thread.. we can start to hash out these issues. Feel free to start a thread on individual wanky schematics =D

It says in my first post that I am a female bothan.

I think that it is due to bad game design, I have tried to find any possible reason for me not to wear my grand healer robe, and there is no reason at all, besides my species.

Sorry for the additional posts, but I just keep thinking up of something after I just finished posting. Just to make sure, are there any other female bothans with grand healer robes accessible? If so, try it on for yourself, and see if I am wrong.
