Ok i hope I'm not repeating anyone. I read a TON of threads to make sure but I apologize in advance if I missed your post!

That being said, I would like to see Profession Specific Clothing! I think it would be great to see outfits available only to those who have the required skill to wear it. There could be cool robes available only to Teras Kasi Novices (wink), or jumpsuits that only bounty hunters could wear! In fact, there could be rank specific clothing that only masters or experts of certain skills could wear, like a robe available to a Teras Kasi Master (wink again!) but not available to Teras Kasi Students.

Think of the huge demand! Masters and Experts would be willing to pay huge amounts (wink yet again!) for clothing because it is more rare and less available to the public. When I hit Teras Kasi Master, i was disappointed by the choices in clothing, and even more disappointed that if I found something cool, any novice brawler could do 1 or 2 missions and buy the same thing! Call me an elitist if you will, but I think i have the tailoring professions best interest in accord with mine ). Besides, for most players, fighters especially, thats a huge part of the game, trying to become more powerful than the masses and being able to beunique.

I made this a new thread because it would be cool to see what different profession/rank specific clothing ideas that people have come up with, all in one convenient place.

Also, i think Player Associations should be able to pay for unique outfits that only members of their PA could wear. It would make PvP cooler and easier.

If there are any Tailors who have any cool ideas for a unique Teras Kasi Master outfit, senda tell to Gamma Joe on the Gorath server, I'm definately interested and willing to pay.

"Teras Kasi ( isn't Teras Kasi referring to the art, not the practitioners?) are crazy mofos with fists of steel (especially when wearing VKs) and stuff to hurt you! Please be kind and don't shoot at us with your guns, or we'll be forced to run behind you helplessly, glaring all the while! Word." Pg. 3, Gamma Joe's Book on Being a Crazy TK mofo.

I'm all about new clothing, but I'm not so hot on having any that's profession specific. I just see it as something that will cause a huge hassle for us tailors, and be morefrustration than it's worth.

If I'm not in my shop, the easiest and fastest way for me to show off an outfit to a customer is for me to try it on myself. Ifa customer doesn't know exactly what they want, I may have to try on lots of different styles for them. As it is now, I have to trade them anything that I can't wear (as a twilek female, right now there aren't too many things I can't equip). But if there were many more things I couldn't wear this process would slow to a crawl. Since everyone has multiple professions, the customer may want to see the pistoleer outfit, the weaponsmith outfit, and the creature handler outfit. That's three different sets of clothes I'd have to trade them and hope they didn't run off with.

I can also imagine all the headaches we'd get when people come up tous and ask for an outfit they saw someone else wearing. First of all, we'd have to remember which outfits were associated with which specific profession. Then we'd have to quiz the customer on their professions (since they always have more professions than the tag above their head shows). Then for every 10 or 20 customers who approach us about the specific outfit they saw we'd be able to sell maybe one outfitto the one character with the appropriate skills. Even when customers got used to the profession outfits there would be mass confusion. We'd get tells saying "I saw a Novice Smuggler Xwearing Outfit Y, I'm a Smuggler and I want it," but actually Novice Smuggler X was wearing her Dancer outfit.

More clothing varieties are the only thing really needed to make characters look more unique. Profession specific ones wouldn't make any more unique-looking characters thanjust adding clothes anyone can wear. Because a TKA robe wouldn't be that cool if every single TKA was wearing one. I wouldn't really want to wear a profession-specific outfit that made me look identical to everyone else in my profession!

And it's a great idea to have PA uniforms, but they don't have to add new schems for you to be able to do it. Any good tailor can come up with a PA uniform for you that's either a unique style or in really individualized colors, you just have to be a little more creative than wanting everyone in your PA sporting black dusters.

There are already so many underused cool-looking clothes in the game. I understand the desire for new schems, we all want new clothes! But good tailors can put together a cool look that's appropriate for your profession, and if both the tailor and the customer can appreciate a little creativity then you can already find a look that no one is wearing yet. I see characters every day running around in outfits that are unique because of their color choice or what pieces they put together.

I guess I just think that if they add new schematics, they should give us more options for all characters, and more opportunities for creativity. Not bind us into some rigid system that makes a character'sprofession choicesdictate their fashion choices.
