Thread: A few questions about Tailor items
I was curious if any of these ideas have been thrown out because they've been bugging me for awhile.
With the Bikini legs, why do they look so thick? Is there any push by people to make them look more see through so you can see the legs? When you wear them it just looks like you increased the size of your legs by double and gave them a new color. If you look *very* close and from the side, you can *kinda* see through them. I think that's pretty silly. I know that they can be more see through though. If you log out of the game wearing them (have all your graphics on for this) and exit the game. Then if you go back into the game when you're at the character select screen (the moment it goes to it, you know when your character fades into view) you can see right through the Bikini legs (IE skin color) and stills has the silk outline color around it. Then a split second later it goes back to normal. Try it a few times to get what I mean if you havn't seen it. Now that's what I would love to see the bikini legs as. I was fooling around with my options for hours once I saw that a few times trying to get bad bump map off of the bikini legs but with no luck. If anyone else has found a way to turn off some option to see through them normally let me know. I never see anyone wear these because you cannot see through them. Every tailor I know won't make them, or recommends not to buy them.
Cloaks, the cloaks in this game are not cloaks really. They're just coats. What I would like to see are real cloaks. Like a cloak that goes down to floor (but only stays on your back side), draps up to your shoulders and comes together to be held by a little gem a few inchs below your neck (it's really hard to desribe this). If you want a rough example though, look at non-hooded cloaks on DAoC. I don't like wearing cloaks/coats in this game for my character because they just make her look fat, or really bigger then she is. Maybe have a certain cloak just for females (that's more lady like), and a cloak just for males, then a generic one both can wear? It would keep people from all looking alike. For some bazaar reason the males on my server just love their cloaks, and they all run around in the same cloak, that's the same color, with the same haircut (maybe they're all clones).
I've seen eyewear as a item to filiter for on the bazaar, so how about some? I don't mean those crappy sunglasses they gave people, I mean real eyewear. Maybe eyepatchs, glasses (like reading glasses, have several kinds. I know I would love a pair), etc etc.
They really need more hats in this game. Twi'leks get like 3 hats *just* for them, while everyone else has 3 horriable hats. They really need more of those, maybe like a Tiara for females (a small crown with gems in it) for example.
I don't know if any of this has been talked about before, I scrolled through a few pages but have heard no-one talk about bikini legs (that's one of my main concerns since it's in the game, the rest are just ideas that will probably never be added in). I mean no-one wears them on my server, no-one wants to make them, and if you even suggest them the tailors frown at you trying to talk you out of it. To me that means it should be a bigger issue then something that never gets talked about. But that's just me. I would love to just have them to be see through so I can see your avators skin color, while having the silk of the legs to still have their color, just a very light color, not the Neon light they have. You'll see what I mean if you try the idea I tossed up at the top.

All good ideas Nanilawaffer....The headgear and eyewear thing has been brought up but thats iceing on the cake. Tailors are broken in other areas right now and we'd rather have those fixed before adding stuff on. As for the bikini leggings, I sell those, not a lot but I sell them and the women that try them on I can see through them just fine....Perhaps the graphics on your machine isn't turned up like they should be? Maybe your computer can't handle them? Who knows but just some things to consider
I agree totally. How many warm hats have you sold, just to name one?
you mean you're supposed to be able to sell warm hats? i was wondering what to do with those hideous fuzzy flowerpot looking things
Warm hats... mmmhhhmm. Make it black and red and add it with a black and red-sashed Smock (why is this listed under dresses when it's for men only?) and you get a very snazzy Turkish robe with Fez look. A la Casablanca stylin'. And if we ever get Hoth, cold weather gear will be in style too.
Gentleman customer in shop: "I want something cool, in black." (I really do think we should all name our shops "Cool in Black.")
Me: *whips out the standard cool, black outfit* "Like this?"
Him: "Naw. Everyone and his brother's wearin' that. What else ya got?"
Me: *gazes across the room at the Black Smock on display - walk over to it* "How about this?"
Him: "That's a dress."
Me: "No it's not. It's called a Smock, but it's really a robe... of sorts. Only males can wear it."
Him: "It's a dress robe then. I dunno...?"
Me: *shows him black gloves and boots, then slyly...* "Add these and it's a long black trenchcoat, like Neo, in the Matrix."
Him: *eyes boggle* "Sold!"
I wish the clothes were in their proper categories and had more appropriate names. I wish they would fix necklaces. I wish we had more hats and shoes. And yes, cloaks and capes that are more flattering and feminine and belts that actually laid where they are supposed to. And gun holsters!
