I just bought an R2 unit that supposedly has a clothing crafting module in it. Is there any way to see if the droid actually has the module in it or do I just trust the DE that sold it to me? When I pull out the droid I don't get the effects of the crafting station, but I remember a thread along time ago where people were having similar problems with their droids. Is it just me and my poor R2?

I tried an R2 and an R4 a month ago and they didn't work.

I recomend you to get a threadwell, it is cheap, blorf on eclipse can make it for 3K and they work perfect.

I'm using that droid until the droid engineer profession works again.

My 3PO droid works. It has a crafting module in it, and is super handy.

The R-5 works as well, and its still fairly Star-Warsy and cute.

I have an R2 and have had no problem with it there are a few things that CAN lead to problems though:

Being around a different kind of crafting Droid- If someone near you has say a Weapons and Droid Crafting droid pulled out it could make yours ineffective. My bf and I cannot craft at the same time in the same house.

Having more then one Crafting module - only one will work.

And there is no way to check but to pull out your tool and try it, if it's not working go try to seperate yourself from people with droids. Still doesn't work I'd say to contact the DE, R2's hold three mods so if you didn't specify he may have put some other kind of crafting mod in there, overriding the clothing one. Some DE's may replace it or at least give you a discount on a new one. Obviously I don't know your DE.
