Thread: More Info: Prioritizing Tailor Issues
So far, I would put the top tailor issues in this order (from mostgame-impacting to least). Bear in mind that nomatter how many different issues we all come up with.. I may only send a few at a time. Please post any differences of opinion here...
1) No Clothing Decay
2) High-end Tailor Lewt Drops
3) Missing 55 colors (and where they should be added back in)
4) Noreason toExperiment (related to 1, but not completely)
5) Clothing categories in Bazaar, Vendors, and in Clothing craftingtool
*** All seem less important from here down ***
6) Crate bugs (cant see quantity/quality inside, take 5 inventory, show up while crafting but cant be used)
7) Invisible necklaces
8) Broken wookiee colors
9) Belts and bandoliers not scaling to small characters
10) No Clothing over armor, even robes or other large items
11)Lack of varietyin BE components
12) No indication of usability for different races
13) Many would like some hover text (even a #) for each color

Is there anything on this list that y'all would like to see bumped one way or the other? Did I miss anything. I aplogize if I did =D

That list looks great to me, Ali
The only thing I'd move up the list is possibly the wookie clothing thing. I know they aren't a large part of the population, but I've had more than a couple complain about the messed up colors.
1) No Clothing Decay
===========================
I would like to see decay for clothes work in combat only...
th
I like the list. I might switch 4 and 5. If they fix number 1 that will give us at least one reason to experiment immediately.
One other thing that is not an issue yet but will become one if they fix item decay is repair of clothing. Other professions have problems with it destroying the items. I practiced on an NPC drop and destroyed the piece. But that is something for us to worry about in the future when there is a reason to repair clothes.
I personally think broken wookie colors should be higher up on the list. Other than that, I agree with all things listed.
Take care,

BE components do not work in any factory. This is very frustrating. I'm at work right now, but at home, I have a detailed list of what clothing can CURRENTLY be used with which BE components. It is very sad at this time. For example, the component that gives +1 to Warcry doesn't work in synthetic cloth, but only works in reinforced panels. However, all wookiee clothing requires cloth. I can make a wookiee medic outfit just fine, or a wookiee entertainer outfit, but you just don't see many of them. I'm certain this has been made a priority in the BE thread, but it affects us and our ability to do any significant business with them. It also means that only our low-end items can use any BE components at all, since all ofour upper-tier schematics require factory cloth and panels. We can be so creative if these tools are given to us.
I put color as #1 because it's an easy fix and probably or partially solves a lot of the other issues (chances are they'll end up fixing the wookie colors if they are going over the pallettes overall and I don't mind the drops as much as long as I can eventually compete.)
I'd guess that decay will take a bit to implement. I'd prefer a system based on how much someone wears something -- combat only is not acceptable as combat characters wear armor not clothes while fighting and our best customers are non-combatants.
But looks good to me.

I guess this isn't a Tailor "issue", but it would be nice to be able to show people clothes without having to make one and either hand it over/wear it, or put it in a house.
I guess it's more of a wishlist.
Therefore, on topic, I'd push colours up the list. Personally, I've had more people asking for red or purple than I've had people not buying 'cos they got a cool something or other from loot.
In fact, if I may:
1) Missing 55 colors (and where they should be added back in)
2) Noreason toExperiment (related to 1, but not completely)
3) No Clothing Decay
4) Clothing categories in Bazaar, Vendors, and in Clothing craftingtool
5) High-end Tailor Lewt Drops
OOh thatsan important point=D Thank you.
Along the same lines.. can anyone think of a reason why the BE components should be restiricted to either synth cloth or reinforced fiber panels? Does that add anything to the game, or simply cut down on the creative combinations we can make?
A few others (none top-5 caliber, but annoying):
- Color *inconsistency*: Not the same as the missing colors or bad division of colors. This is when two items, both made with the same color box selection from the same palette, look very different for no apparent reason. One example I ran into last night is the Simple Vest. Selecting Black on most items produces a reasonably satisfying black (from my perspective anyhow, though I know a lot of people consider it a mere dark grey.) But on the Simple Vest, that color produced something very different - a medium grey, at best, not the same look as you'd get with most items in black.
- Tailor Shop Lighting: This is, I suppose, an Architect problem, but it's sort of at the intersection of Architect, Tailor, and Merchant. The problem is that a lot of houses have lighting that works especially poorly for clothing displays or modelling of clothes. The Corellia Small Houses (which I think are the same as Generics?) seem to be especially awful in this respect, though I've seen complaints about the other sorts too. In my shop, the lighting pretty much makes every outfit look like an indistinct black blob.
I don't think every item should be BE'able for this reason.
I would think the bazaar issues would be the highest priority, items not showing up when you examine them, and not being able to break clothing down into catagories is really hurting novice tailors.
