Thread: Biological components for clothing doesn't work (the evidence)
I waited a number of days to allow for people to step forwards with evidence to back up their claims that the biological components which go into reinforced fiber panals and synthetic cloth actually worked. As it stands they have not returned with any evidence so that for many of us shows that our findings are totally accurate.
The issue here is the skill enhancing components for a the tailor panals, these are made by bio-engineers and used in the crafting process to give the clothing the ability to enhance certain skills of the person wearing them. Saddly while this sounds great there is clear evidence that they simply do not work as intended, worse still is that they misreport an increase in the skill mod menu leading people to suffer from a placebo effect where they THINK they are seeing a benefit because they don't expect the numbers to lie to them. But after rigorous testing by multiple people we have found, in the components we can get hard numbers for, there is no change in the persons skills.
The full documentation is 3 pages long and at the following link, it's heavy reading for sure however it also evaluates the situation from all angles so that we could conduct a fair trial. But the bottom line is, don't buy nor sell these so called skill enhancing clothes, you know they don't work now and you cannot be sure if they will work after they are fixed or that the components and clothing won't be considered overpowered and deleted from the server after the developers look at them properly. Play it safe, don't lie to your customers and assume things will work out fine.

Thank you for you attention.
Tal,
Thanks for the research, and sharing it. I've been following this thread with interest since the beginning (being a tailor/BE myself). Actually though, I think what you proved was not that the bio component don't work, but rather that the bleed resistence doesn't work, and the medical use one DOES work, but not as you expected it to. I think that is an important clarification.
/sigh
i posted the same link/stuff here when we first did the research, but for some odd reason the tailors didn't like it as much when it's my post
i guess it didn't help that i accidentally posted your link as the title, then went back and posted again apologizing ![]()
i haven't sold clothing with bio-comps though, and i won't until i can confirm that they work. let me dig the post out...
