Not sure why but it hurt my feelings a little bit. I mean I know this person is probably trying to help a struggling tailor but if she/he hadn't mentioned my name, I probably wouldn't have offered or been offended.
I am curious though how you other tailors would have responded if at all.

Hrm, well, I think this person was just trying to help a "struggling" tailor lol... Although he would take a chance with the product if he went with a newer tailor. I wouldn't be offended, it just means you are so well known that he felt he should give someone else a shot?!

Well the one thing it did... was make me run in the game and fulfill some custom orders that were a little backed up. LOL
I guess it is a compliment and I am pretty busy so it's probably for the best ![]()

Yep, considering that Tailors complain frequently about being backed up and not able to fill orders, he probably figured it would be best for both him and you if he found an up-and-comer, he'd get his order quicker and you would have one less order to fill. I think it's definitely a compliment when someone assumes you're busy.

I don't think I'd be offended, but it's hard to say since I wasn't the one mentioned... it could have been taken as a compliment, albeit a backhanded one...
I read the post as soon as the guy posted it, but I sure didn't jump to put my hat in the ring... I have all I can handle nowand I like the idea of letting some of the newer tailors have a chance...I know I'm a good tailor, I know I'm one of the best tailors in our galaxy, but I also know I'm not the ONLY tailor on Chilastra...

I am very grateful for the other tailors on our server. It would be silly to presume that one or even 2 tailors could service everyone on one server. So yeah I am grateful for the other tailors everywhere!

Don't be offended, Chiana, take it as the compliment it was intended to be.
I was actually offended that someone told a customer that swgbio was hers and didn't give any credit to Eva.

Honestly it's a compliment that the first tailor he/she thought of was you, and that everyone agrees that you are the tailor on your server. Other than that, I think it's probably a good thing that other tailors are getting their names out so that you're not quite so swamped.

I think I would have chosen to take it as a high compliment as well.

Heheh..and your name was mentioned 3 times in that thread! Take it as free advertisement, girlie, and 3 compliments..you deserve them!

Although I'd feel a bit snubbed as well, the intention was that he was elevating you to be the ultimate tailor on the server, and unlikely to be able to fit in his request... He did say he wanted to give it to other tailors that were struggling.
Whatever his intentions, I would not worry about it. I think of a few names as the best in the Tailoring biz, and you're one of them hon: Galaxy Girls' Miss February! Chilastra's Finest Tailor! Chiana!

I don't think you shoud feel hurt at all. If you read the first line, he is looking for "the top few creative clothing desighners", and obviously you are one of them
I can only wish to recieve a compliment like that one day.
As it is, my vendor south of Coronet keeps me so busy thatI hardly have the time for my other passion, dance. When a novice tailor asks me for help, I jump at the opportunity... they take away some of my workload and I get to dance. I love tailoring, but I also love the company of my friends and people I meet.
Go out and have fun and don't worry about someone that obviously does not have the patience to wait for the best there is!
