i have been selling my crates of synth cloth for 2.5k (orders over 10 2k)

am i underpricing myself ?

i mine most of my resources, so they cost me less then 0.5 cpu.

a crate of cloth = 25 * (16 FP +4 IP) = 500

even

so at a base cost of 500 cr per crate @ 1 cpu per resource mined cost (very generous)

i find it hard to charge more than 3k (and then only when depleting my percy) per crate.

can anyone tell me why i should ?

I charge 2k per crate of Synth Clothon Infinity (young server, healthy economy) and I sell a lot to regular customers. The money I make from it keeps my factory going as I use the profit to pay the maintance It also means my factory is earning money inbetween runs of things for me.

It is simple, How much can you sell your resources for on the bazaar? Add in some profit and the price of the factory run, and you come up with a fair price for your crates of cloth. If you are selling your product for less than what the raw resources are selling for, then you are wasting your time. Just dump the fiberplast and inert chemicals and metals on the bazar and you won't have to wait for your factory to finish.

10cpu for finished product is FAIR. Consider that armoursmiths and weaponsmiths charge about 100cpu for their products. This is based on what their resources sell for on the bazaar. If they have to pay 50cpu for good quality hides, then 100cpu is FAIR to them. There is no point in anyone selling at less than material costs.

When I say material costs, I do not mean how much you get it for, but how much you can sell it for. High Quality Tatooine fiberplast is going to sell well to doctors that want to make medicines with it. High quality tatooine wooly hides will sell well to armoursmiths, because they need them for their armour.

On Eclipse I sell synth cloth to the average joe for 3500 per crate. I sell to regular customers between 2500 and 3000 (depending how regular and if they bring me resources in trade, which they often do). TO citizens of my town, I charge 2000 per crate.

I also only sell synth cloth to order, I rarely stock it on my vendor. I go through it too fast!
