Thread: Made 400k on One Outfit!

So I've been wanting to design a new outfit with clothes and padded armor. I had an armorsmith make a full suit of padded armor with white as the primary color and black as the secondary. When I finally got the armor I equiped the chest plate, bracers, biceps, andgloves. All I did after that was I made some large pocket pants, sneakers, and a silver pendantthat matched the armor. After sitting in Bestine for 5 minutes I recieved an offer for everything I was wearing for 400k. Problem now is I'm gonna have tofind another armorsmith who will actually make something besides composite. :/

Nice, good job! 
That's actually one of the reasons I might go for AS also after all this time, to be one of the few AS's who makes other armor. I'd probably only make Padded at first, love that stuff. hehe

I love the boots on that armor and am considering finding an AS who can supply me with different colors. However, I don't want anyone to buy them off my vendor thinking they are getting armor and then be upset because the stats suck. And I think the smith might worry about his rep if s/he supplied me with sub-standard armor. Doing it myself is a good idea... when I have the time lol!

An option would be to have the smith name the items "fashionable boots" or something like that, nothing that has the word "armor" in the title.

But even if you calle them "fashionable boots" they would still appear in the armor category. I am very lucky in that in my guild (EZ-Company) on Sunrunner we have an excellent AS who will do orders of padded on request.

This isnt too much of a problem on my server. We call it Fashion Padded, meaning its absolutely useless for anything but that. I'm partners with an AS that does the custom work for me. If you offer padded best thing to do is to put up an item as a sign saying its for look only.

I also made a padded armor/clothing uniform for a friend last night... I am a master tailor as well as AS so I really do tend to like making padded for simply a "style" armor for people, or using the pants rather than the reinforced pants for a 2-tone uniform... I do not see it as cutting into the tailoring stuff, rather just gives me more options.

i sometimes wear a suit of white ubese just because i like how it looks,minus the helm,helms never look good on mon cal 
never wear them unless im in combat...and usually i dont even wear armor in combat...so i jsut replace the helm with a sunguard

That's very very impressive.
Reminds me of a few months ago, someone came to me and asked me to make him a Samurai outfit, and that he would pay me 1 million credits. He gave me a week to do it.
So I sent a tell to my armorsmith friend, we worked on a few things and came up with 2 or 3 outfits. When all was done we had a nice split of 500k each.

the new thing i am seeing a lot more of is the marabi (spell) pants in one full color with a cute top... seen lots of dancers doing this lately!! had an AS make me a few pieces to play with... trying diffferent combos of things...
my one gal for the longest time wore my alt's o condition comp pants/boots with a sport bust ... i loves this combo!!
just a few thoughts!!
