What prey tell is a biological component? I see they are optional components in fiber panels and synth Cloth. would they help out in armor??

The biological component is the Bioengineered tissues that can be made for clothes. Things like Active Biosensors that add a medical bonus, Enhanced Myoflex Treatment that adds an entertainer healing bonus, Tensile Resistance that gives enhanced melee and stun defense.
You can purchase these from a bioengineer that is willing to make them for you.
