So, a Tailor friend of mine was going to craft me the droidsmith tool set (she was provided a droid repair tool that hasn't ever been used).
When she went to create it, she got the message "Your component is too damaged to be usable for crafting."
Has anyone seen that message before? What is it referring to?

tools decay if you die, this message means you died carrying the tool and it decayed

Maybe this is a stupid question but I am a DE and a Tailor and cannot seem to come up with a solution to this.
The droid repair tools can no longer be made by anyone. Where do you guys get them from? Loot drops? Or are those leftovers from the old days when those tools were still available but did not work?

There's a few left over droid repair thingys floating around that a few lucky people are using. And I think they're re adding em to the game with publish 7.

If they will be available in publish 7, they should be on testcenter. Has anyone who has a tailor character there tested this yet? It sounded like they are adding repair tools back in, but not the same ones that the schematic asks for. ![]()

That is what I was thinking too. There will be repair tools labeled 'Droid Repair Kit A', 'Droid Repair Kit B' etc. But I am not certain if they will work...

Does anyone know if this was fixed? I am using a Droid Reconstruction Kit - A and I am getting an error message "your component is too damaged" error message. Can anyone help me?

I had this happen once also, have no idea why it didn't work. But if you can get your hands on another one it should work just fine.

It's not the reconstruction kit. It's the other one - the Droid Repair Kit

It says "Droid Reconstruction Kit-A Repair Tool", what should it say?

" Droid Repair Kit - A "
It's likely that it got renamed by the DE when he made it. Be sure that you check in the description for a field that tells you that it is a variation of xxx

Well, I finally got some "Droid Repair Kit-A" components, and those don't even show up when I try to create the toolbelt, so I think I got the wrong component yet again. At least the last ones showed up, but said they were too damaged to use.
