I went to check on a vendor in a friend's house today and discovered the house was completely gone! It had my most popular vendor, which had lots of +4 Melee/+18 Stun, +18 bleed resitance, +25 wound injury healing clothing, enhanced backpacks and crafter aprons on it. These will take a lot of work to replace! I know the house had at least 30 days of maintenence because I just put money into the house and I did not think that the owner of a house could destroy it with a vendor inside. I can still friend the owner, so she is still a valid player, but I have not seen her in a few days. Has this happened to anyone?

Ive only heard of it being a lagit bug once before. But that bug was /gasp fixed long ago... This I am sorry to say sounds like a case of a player deleting there toon... But maybe you should get in touch with CSR if such a thing is possible...

Good luck...

As far as I know, the owner can redeed a house, even if a vendor is in it. What they can't do right now is /transferstructure if there's a vendor in it.

Get in touch with CS. See if the player deleted the house intentionally (they have logs for that sort of thing.) If so... why don't we have player bounties?

This happened to a friend of mine, except the house was owned by someone that no longer plays. Even though he had the maintenance all paid up CSRs told him tough luck.

There's a couple of things that can make a house disappear to my knowledge. One is if it's on a server boundry. I know CSR's have fixed this by moving the house back. It's possible it could reappear after the server loads back up. The second is if your friend deleted their character. When someone deletes themselves, everything that belongs to them goes along with it. A CSR can check if your friend deleted their character. Finally there's redeeding like NJ said.

Well, if I do not hear back and find out what happed, I will end up just cutting my losses. I have the materials to make thousands of really nice tissues, so I am not too worried about that. In the meantime, I put a house on that lot which I will be glad to move if it was just a bug. If not, at least I have a prime piece of real estate 800m outside of Coronet starport to have vendors in.

sorry this happened to you I do believe they can delete all items in the house including vendors. I just got novice tailor so I'll take this lesson and learn from it. Also and please don't take this the wrong way...I'm assuming you trusted her but if she had someone who could get on her account then they could have taken your things and gotten rid of the house

Yes, people can take up structures with vendors in it that are not there own. While this may sound awful, really in some cases it is for the best. Otherwise, my husband's tent (and it's lot) would have been held hostage by someone's (who disappeared from game) vendor once.

Also, I am assuming that you tried to relog to make sure it wasn't just bugged? Seems like this type of display bug has been happening alot lately. Just yesterday our Mall "disappeared" with me in it and accessing my vendor! I could see right through the walls (righted itself in a couple minutes though). Also several houses in our town have been kinda coming and going alot lately, relogging usually fixes it (at least for a while) though. Seems like a problem with most structures though, had a guildie stuck in a wall recently (haven't heard of that happening in forever) and been "falling through" the floor of our shuttleport more lately also, come to think of it.

Well, she reported it, but nothing has been done yet. The house simply vanished for some reason. I am betting that they say it ran out of maintenence, although I know it isn't true. At least on Lowca, maintenence is kind of tricky, so you need to keep at least 30 days on everything. It can suddenly go from 30 days to 0 maintenence in a matter of hours.

We live very close to a server boundary & they have been extra freaky lately. Disappearing items, ghosting items in our inventory (I became stuck & couldn't move 4 times in one weekend because it said my inventory was full & it wasn't). If you are near a boundary that would be my guess. The owner deleting their character is a possibility I guess but you know them the best. Maintenance fees that "gulp" up the funds is very weird & haa to be hard to prove. I hope everything turns out well for you. I am glad you were at least able to grab the spot considering the high real estate value in that area

Another way to make a house go poof is put a base next to it..as the base footprint actually extends more then it shows it will delete anything in its way. Doesn't sound like this was your problem though, good luck!
