Thread: Component Pricing Guildline?

Anyone have a rough pricing guideline they uise for selling tailor components like trim and fiberplast panels and such? I've had a few people asking me for various items and I have no idea what to charge them. I mine all of my own resources except for hides and it's dirt cheap for me. So I don't really have a <something> X <what I paid for the resources> thing.

For armorsmiths, I charge the going rate for raw materials on the server, plus a surcharge of factory time and power. Usually this ends up being around 5 c/p/u for the crates.
As for chefs - I usually want brandy in trade and they're happy to give it to me.

I am usually charge 4k for syth, 5k for rfp, and 2.5k for everything else except for wookie pillows. Those are dependent on the going server rate for hq wooly and hq leather hide. Last time I ran some I was charging 35k a crate, but wasn't getting any takers, even had a couple armorsmiths tell me I was crazy. /shrug, it cost me that much just for the hide and I am in no hurry to lose any money.

I had a guy offer me 5k/crate for 20 crates. I simply said I didn't have the low quality hides to make it for him. So I said I'd do it happily if he gave me the 7500 hide and 5000 wooly I would need for it. He brought me the hides and the fiberplastand still paid me 100k for making it.

I charge about 6 per over on Intrepid, giving:
3000 for SC
4000 for Trim
5000 for RFP and FP (FP has 50 per crate)
I've got the others (except for Armor Padding) up there for the same prices, but I've only ever sold one crate of any of them. I have yet to collect enough hide for a run, but I will do schematics for Armorsmiths for a nominal fee.
Prices are going to be highly server dependent. As always, the recommendation is to take a look around your competitors' vendors and see what they charge.
