To try to sum it up:
Tailors pride themselves on being able to help their customers get what they want, whether it be a new pair of hawtpants to dance in or a complete BE combat outfit. At the moment we cannot help when it comes to BE clothing and its driving us mad.
For some tailors BE clothing is what makes them their money, its what helps support their shops, factories, vendors or harvesters.
There are not many pure artisan characters in SWG but I'm one of them. Without tailoring I have no other reason to play as Kelsaka, without Kelsaka I have no reason to play my combat alt as she only exists to get resources and provide a break from sewing. So from a purely personal point of view I NEED this bug to get fixed.

I'm with you there Kel, I'm just starting my business and having to turn down the BE clothing requests is driving me crackers.

I stopped counting how many requests I have had to turn down for BE clothing items. I have even changed my title to Master Merchant just so that I can travel thru towns without having to explain why can not fill BE orders.
/sarcasm on
But at least now people can get candles to turn on so they can also find the switch to the X-Wing Holograms. Boy I want to tell you that was a real game breaking set of problems.
/sarcasm off

Well in all honesty both problems were game breaking to Tailors. Without the lights my shops were so damn dark you couldn't have seen the items to purchase anyways. I have all the Tailoring items up on the walls of two medium Naboo houses so I needed the lights fixed. But I agree it's becoming a royal pain in the ___ that I can't make money. Like most Tailors I made money from the BE clothing. I enjoy making the other stuff more personally but the BE stuff was what allowed me to do that. Now that it won't be fixed in this next patch and who knows when the next one will come out I'm pissed because I'm losing money. Fortunately I had already uped all my vendors and shops before this went down and I have about 7 mil in savings but still I may have to go out of business if this doesn't get fixed soon. I mean I know the DEVS hate us crafters because we actually care how things LOOK, gee what a concept, but still this is over the line. I can't imagine how the BROKE BE with what they did. I mean they didn't touch anything around BE but yet still found a way to break it fully. And seeing as I don't have an alt I'm bored silly now. Well if there was ever a reason to go Jedi (since they seem to finally be getting some love, I feel bad for my fellow guildies that are Jedi) now woudl be the time because I'm bored as is. I could probably get my new character unlocked and up to Master Tailor by the time they got this stuff fixed.

Yeah. I just switched to finally getting my BE business to work, it all worked out, finally I had my main income and do the other crafting for fun and leisure time, being very busy RL - and then this.
The light thing _REALLY_ annoyed me too, because not only did all the lights turn out, they vanished, too! So much for having placed 50 + lights in 3 houses. I don't even remember what styles of lamps and candles I had where.
I'm not really doing much anymore, except signing on and reading/responding emails. The CU didn't make me happy as rifleman (I hate having to be dependant on groups, I can't do any same-level missions by myself anymore), so I thought: oh well, focus on crafting, that'll be good. Well, not really. And I don't want to be Jedi, either (no thanks to all the grinding and being hunted all the time). What's there left?

I am a pure artisan tailor also - I don't even play a combat alt - I buy my resources and accept hides and such in trade for clothes (supporting the player economy). Thankfully, on Eclipse, non-modded clothing is still selling well. Yes, I am taking a hit with this bug, and the small amount of BE clothing on my vendor is selling out (I prefer to custom make as much BE stuff as possible) but on a side note, I have a bit more time now to dabble with space pilot, and spend time with my jedi hubby (when he's not out grinding double exp).
btw - how do you think soe will "apologize" to us (tailors and AS) when they do get around to fixing things? all this double exp for server crashed and hot fixes... we deserve something too - maybe a couple free 30K resource crate deeds each? hehehehe (tho 30K resources doesnt last long...)
