I was away this past week for a nice, fun, Beach trip 
YAY....then I returned home and found almost my entire stock (what little I had time to place up) had been almost completely bought out by a person by the name of XYL .... then a random player (thank you if you read the boards) sent me a mail saying all his/her stuff was being bought out by this person and RESOLD at a MUCH higher price. So I go to this waypoint, and sure enough, all the stuff they bought is on sale on their 1 lil vendor.

So I go to this waypoint, and sure enough, all the stuff they bought is on sale on their 1 lil vendor.Things like a Light Bustier...for....30k Credits....to me that's way too much, I go by the prices set by Tiaga's site (wonderful place).
So, needless to say, Xyl is now banned from my store, and if you don't want your stuff being resold like that, then it might be good for ya to ban them as well.
Just an FYI...
(and no, I don't see any point in raising my prices to theirs, I think low prices are a good thing for ahazi's economy)

i don't understand why people try to do this without permission from the crafter...

My vendors are all down atm so I can redo things ... but will make sure to ban him from our towns shops 
Thanks for the heads up. Lots of people atempy to make money in this way *sighs* I used to have my crated furniture bought out and resold all the time.

Do not forget, if they purchase at the price you listed it for sell, it is their item to do with as they please.
Including reselling it at inflated or decreased prices on their own vendors.
I have never complained, and doubt I ever will complain,if someone buys me out,
I got my money that I asked for, what they do afterwords is not my concern.
Yes it may seem a pain to do such bulk restocking,
but how is that any different then a guild who comes in for wardrobes for new members?

just my random input on such people..after all we set it on the vendor for it to sell...

I see your point....but I don't wanna see clothing at 30k credits for a lil Bustier...ya know? That's just way too much. Gotta have love for the entertainers and people that wanna look decent in the game, IMO.

I wouldn't want my name on overpriced goods. So yeah, I'm all for banning resellers. It's my reputation on the line.

I actually go on the bazaar once in a while to check both bazaar and vendor to see if anyone's reselling my items at a higher price. I don't like raising my prices just so folks won't resell it, so resellers just end up on my ban list.

I dunno. I can see both sides to this. On the one hand, buying someone out lock, stock, and barrel, especially for the purpose of reselling, is a pretty unpleasant thing to do. You don't do that to someone unless you want to cheese them off and it can certainly damage your business. Assuming you have (or had) a decent amount of stock it could takes days, if not weeks to restock, and in that time a lot of customers will come in a form a bad opinion of your shop.
And charging 30k credits for a bustier sure does seem a bit over the top to me, unless it's loaded with bio-tissues.
That said, I've seen the ugly opposite end of that as well, and it isn't any prettier. I've seen rich players decide that they can produce goods for next to nothing and sell them so far below what the market will bear that they destroy the market for such goods, and drive numerous players, not only out of the profession, but out of the game. While I love TK's site, I think the pricing there is low to the point of being a bit silly for many items. I just can't see why a tailor would take the trouble to address a customer, talk price, talk color, and do the crafting on a non-decaying item for 500cr, even if the materials cost were 0. There's no question that on Bria, if I could buy things at those prices, I could resell them at a mininum of 2x - 5x above those prices and have things sell within 24 hours. Whether charging low prices is being nice to entertainers or hostile towards competing tailors is a matter of perspective only.

Ahhh, a good nights rest after a long drive home did me well ....anyway
Yeah, TK's site is wonderful, and I think I might start doubling some of her pricing, on the really low stuff. I tell most of my guildies to go there if they want special orders as well.
I"m not really too upset, I mean I didn't put a lot on the vendors, a lil over 50 or so items total on about 6 different vendors. That was all I had time to do before I left for the beach. Then I got home, and the sales were nice, but I was just unhappy to see someone else selling things with my name on it, ata MUCH higher price than what I (and many others) were selling for, just seemed like it could bode badly for my name.
And no, the Bustier (all of the bustier's I placed on that vendor) were just normal clothing. 4 Sockets wasn't that rare on them, but that was all that was different. Still not worth 30k.
I'll just go restock today, person is still banned, although I don't doubt he/she could just get someone else to buy me out and take the stuff to him/her.

Thanks for the heads up. I check the bazaar once in awhile to see if my stuff's being resold, and I haven't seen it yet, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. I would be fine with the reselling thing if I had an agreement with someone to do it and was able to regulate the prices, but considering I have a small-time shop and don't restock very often, someone coming in and wiping out my stock to resell could potentially ruin my business. I just don't have the time to make and restock several hundred items. I will check my merchant alt and see if this person's been buying my stuff, too. I hate the thought of my name being on overpriced clothing. Although, I did see one person trying to offload a pair ofmy melee/stun BE pants for 500,000 cr on their vendor. I just laughed and said "good luck".

I gave him my price list when he became a tailor, and he added the JTL prices on. I have a pretty heavy tier modifier, then I rounded everything up to the nearest 500, which is why the low level items are inexpensive.

That's cool, didn't mean to offend, I know that some things that I sell (like the bio stuff before this debacle) I purposely sell much lower then "what the market will bear" as well too, and could easily be a target for reselling as a result of it. I'm just pointing out that if that is howone chooses to price their stuff, one consequence of that is that you are likely to be resold, and it shouldn't surprise you if you are. And from a certain perspective, it is a positive for the economy when that happens.

I know, and no offense taken. your BE stuff is too cheap
(but you're a sweetheart and we're on different servers, so it's ok )that's why I ban resellers... besides, when people resell my items, it's usually only a few pieces or they buy a bunch without looking at the price. I don't think anyone can resell off of me easily, especially now that I keep a close eye on my sales
