Ok thismust becrap on all my characters and their profession month. I leave for a mere week and a half and before that took a tiny break from tailoring of prolly no more than a week to grind Pilot and have fun in space. I return to a mountain of Jedi changes that are upcoming which I disagree with to no end, character still stuck in infinite respec mode hence no Pilot badge and no Medal, then today I go to craft someone some BE clothes and no BE stats go on the piece of clothing

Someone best tell me why this isn't a Number 1 priority to DEVs regarding the tailor profession.. tailors DO NOT make money off regular clothes anymore since they are still wearable and stat mod useable even at 0 condition. Essentially you are killing our craft by not fixing this!

How hard is it honestly for a programmer to fix the code and why on earth is it that every time you go to fix one thing you break something else. I am serious now someone either doesn't know their job or needs more schooling on it, one or the other and I don't care which just fix the BE stuff period!

*You do not go and work on new grand changes and just let old broken stuff stay unfixed going on 3 weeks let alone months... ever heard of not moving on to the new til the old is resolved... if not you best learn that too sighs*

I am beginning to think that it takes weeks for developers to figure out what they did to break things.

Please someone prove me wrong.. show me that it isn't going to take you several weeks/months to fix this or are you now trying to weed out the Tailor profession due to respec tailors? Either way I can tell you there are NOT many tailors on each server.

Why should anyone bea tailoranymore honestly?

Clothes don't degrade, stats still work at 0 cond., one set of clothes a person is setup unless they like variety and there is not enough of a new client base to support new players just buying new clothes either. The only business in months we been recieving is from the BE clothing and now you broke that.

Whats next a merging of BE, Tailor, CH since you can't getone of themfixed without breaking one of the others.. just think about it why don't you?

Okay, I am as upset about this BE tissue bug and the crate color bug, but I know from experience that bugs are not often easy to fix. I have done some scripting/programming on a smaller multi player game. Here is an example: Everything works great, so you decide to add a new item into the world. The script shouldnt effect anything really, but for some reason after you enter it people can no longer use swords. The two should never be effected by each other, so now you have to figure out why on earth they are effecting each other. Sometimes this can be easy, but at other times this can prove to be really hard and complex for something that wouldnt seem to take much. I was at first upset that they fixed the lighting issue so quick but nothing for the tailors (or AS as with the crate color bug) but then I stepped back and remembered the easy fixes that I could do and did quickly so they would be done and out of the way so I could concentrate on the others. Is it frustrating? YES!!! But it could be something that they are looking at and cant for the life of them see why it is effecting it. Then some night while lying in bed a DEV might sit up and smack their head and say " Why on earth didnt I see this before? " (I know this from experience) and it will be fixed. Or it could also be something that to fix will have to rewrite coding for many other things and they are trying to get this done. I do know that no matter how much we gripe about it, it really isnt gonna get them to do it any faster, if they are already working on it. Okay, Im done, this was just my .02

Sorry mate. I'm a professional software developer and although some of what you are saying is true to a degree there's no way that any product should reach the end user in the condition that this game frequently does. The fact that the game is continually evolving makes it a potential nightmare to project manage but with the right procedures in place we shouldn't be seeing the magnitude of errors that we do.
The procedures in place at SOE clearly don't work and should be reviewed IMO but I get the feeling that we (the customer) are urinating into the wind with our complaints, which is very wrong in my opinion as we pay for these "upgrades" and it's only fair that we should expect a high level of service.
Unfortunately no matter how much we complain and threaten to leave the game SOE marketing department come up with a method of bringing in new customers to compensate for the loss. Look at the Rage of the wookies for instance.... A new angle to the game... one big planet of dungeons and no free roaming like we can on the rest of the game. Absolutely no fluidity or resemblence to the core game yet it's a winner with the majority of the customers. Why? Marketing.
I'd love to see a realtime show of hands on how many people once they bought it (sadly i was one of them) actually think it's worth the money. We were dazzled with shiny new loot items and space ships that you could only get if you bought into the new half-mod. Absolute pile of crap IMO but there you go... i still parted with my money even though I knew that it would be no good (I deserve flaming for that alone lol).

As long as this game is running I doubt we'll ever see an improvement in the quality of the product we're all addicted to. Having said that I dont think we should just shrug our shoulders and accept defeat. Tell them they're giving us crap service because at least while we have a voice they can't be under any misconception that we're satisfied customers. The game is great. Of that there's no doubt. It's just management of the SOE development cycle that needs strung up by the dangly bits and left to dry.

just my 2p worth

*You know at this point all I really want is for the developers to acknowledge this.. anything to say they are listening and they are aware and as you said either its being worked on and they can't figure it out or that its down further on their priority list.. just something so I know better on a ETA or anything .. customers want to know and we are asked daily regarding when it will be fixed and it is frustrating to have to tell customers to be patient and wait when we have no clue if or when its going be fixed*

I'm seriously on the precipice of writing a letter / delivering a phone message to someone higher up the chain in SOE about the ridiculous lack of Customer Service and Communication in this game. Either that or informing some of the Gaming magazines to let the general public know how SOE treats their paying customers.

I don't know if it's because most of my server's tailors quit/respec'd, or because we've had such an influx of new players, but I've been selling a huge amount of 'regular' clothes this month. The profit isn't as high as if I were selling BE clothes of course, even so I'm making quite a bit of money. Sales are high enough that I play my tailor much more than my jedi now just to keep up with them. Hopefully you will find this to be true as well. One way I've found to save money is to extract my own fiberplast and inert petro, since I use those the most in creating components.
