Thread: How bout a fashion boutique in an NPC city? Nice idea, I must say :)
I think it's a great idea.
Adds content to the game as well as goodies anda sense of ownership.

Hey there,
Ex architect here with an idea...
How many of you have always wanted to place a vendor in an NPC city? I always have.
I would love to have my Droid shop in Mos Eisley.
What about the complete lack of content for crafters? Do you think the idea of community crafting quests (eg. the village defences) is very cool?
I would love to have a shop in an NPC city, that would be cool. There are so many empty/useless buildings as it is.
To me the inevitable outcome of putting all tailor vendors in one building and having them duke it out is that you'll have 1-2 "winners" and everyone else will be a "loser". And I just don't see that as making tailoring more fun to play.

I'm sure as a non-tailor this idea seems wonderful to you, but to a tailor that has a much bigger stake in this I assure you it's not so wonderful. Talking about increasing the amount of competition for the purpose of lowering prices may sound good to a buyer, but how does that make it more fun for a seller? How does it make it more fun for someone who has invested a lot of their time and skillpoints into setting up a player store?

I didn't even think of that.
I'm surprised he didn't ask for dye kits and the removal of decay.

I understood your concerns, understood is the appropriate word there, butyour second replyis just unnecessary...
What is wrong with you?
I am not a jedi, I will be, but I am not yet...but you will never see me on the boards, that isn't my point...
Flaming just for the hell of it? The idea was originally just to bring some more content for crafters, a centralised quest that all professions could be part of, a building or facility that would give crafters something else to do instead of running factories.
Why did I choose a market? because it was the only thing I could think of an NPC city needing AT THE TIME...how about this then? A new player crafted starport, complete with instanced hangar bays that you and your group can see your ship landed. The old ones could be converted into a fighting arena (Player and creature), players could gamble, would be a blast.
This is for ArthurDentOnBria:
YOU SEE...I have just came up with an idea, do you know whatan ideais? Why don't you just think about something before mindlessly flaming them? Make an intelligent (and non 12 year old) statement, tell the poster why it is a bad idea...and come up with something yourself, your first post was fine, but the second one is just bitter, FSCS too hard for you?
By the way, just realised I have seen you on Bria (You are actually on my ignore list for being a jacka$$), a monkey that can't get jedi because he doesn't have the patience should not grief people that do, all you seem to do is whine...your post count is getting kind of high, maybe you should go and mindlessly flame some more posts to get it higher.
ONE MORE THING, can I buy a dye kit, I want it ub3r and I want to get rid of decay before I am j33dai...Happier with that? Never know, flame me 12 more times and you can hit 4,500 posts...![]()
For the others:
I did not mean this message as spam, I just put an idea out there that I like a hellova lot, and didn't want to have to rewrite differently for the different boards.

I've got links to my server's forum, trade forum and the jedi forum as well as the tailor forum on my favorites, but to be honest this tailor forum is the one I visit most often.
That's because I very much enjoy the comeradere that the SWG tailor community seems to have. Our correspendent seems very nice, informedand is handling the possition professionally. The veteran tailors seem more than willing to help the newer ones and there is a genuine feeling of community. Yes, sometimes people get frustrated with things or disagree, but I've yet to see a truly grrrrr kind of flaming post here.I play SWG to have fun, not to get into b!tching contests or release stress/anger, I think most people here feel the same.
So, it's in that spirit that I ask that posts like your previous one, NZSithSniper, please be kept out of the Tailor forum. This isn't the place for trash talk or battles over whose idea is ub3r l33t. You threw an idea out there, some people liked it some didn't, that's the way it goes with new stuff. But you're taking the thread in a whole 'nother direction, and I really don't want to see it go there. If you didn't like Arthur's response either ignore it or send him a PM, don't drag it out on the tailor forum in the form of a personal attack.
I'm relatively new to the tailor community, but even I can see that's not the way things are done here.
Respectfully,
