What happens if you have a BE shirt that is

+4 melee defense

+16 def vs stun

And you try to add a +5 or above melee defense tape to it?

Whatever mod the tape is will overwite the current value. If you put in a +3 tape, nothing happens, if you put in a +4 tape, nothing happens, if you put in a +5 tape, you will get a +5 melee defence/+16 stun defence shirt. You should consider putting it in a different piece of clothing. If you throw it in a belt or something other than the shirt, then you will get the two bonuses added together...
