I gave up tailor on my main account to do pvp. I miss it, so I made a new character to master tailor on so I could still do it. After grinding away for a bit, I noticed I got no experience so I sent in a ticket.

I was told that this was a known bug and it was being worked on, and please be patient.

That's cool and all. I can be patient. BUT

Is this true for everyone? Is it true that no one can get tailor xp ATM? I'd be upset if it was a holo... considering time is running out for that.

How long will it be before I can start working on tailor? I've got stuff ready in my inventory for it... should I carry it around, or store it until next patch, or what?

Auto-it... leads to the dark side.

Make sure you're grinding on items you got at novice tailor - if you do domestic arts items, you'll only get general craft xp.

Usuallly if you're not getting xp, it will "catch up" with you later, after a relog or whatnot.

Several days later, and several wrinkled pants, ribbed shirts, and administrator robes later... still no xp.

In response to my ticket, I was told it was a known bug being worked on.

I'm wondering, is it that NO ONE who is new to tailoring can get any xp for tailor? Or is it just a bug with a few people?

AND when will it be fixed? I really want to get started on it.

I play on Bria, and am currently a 0411 Tailor. I had this problem once, but I relogged and the xp showed right up. no problems since and am grinding Tailor like mad. Dunno what to tell you. Try dropping it and regaining novice tailor or something.

I started and then mastered Tailor this past week on Naritus and had no problem like that at all. Guess it doesn't happen to everyone.

Off the top of my head, I believe that wrinkled pants and admin robes are domestic arts items (not sure about the admin robes - the way I always tell is to see whether they're made with synth (tailor) or fiberplast panels (domestic))

Try looking at your xp, writing it down, and then making a a ribbed shirt. See if it goes up.

relog...actually /sit and /logout and it will show up...and mj is correct...the only tailor item you mentioned is ribbed shirts...you need to make those or you will be getting artisan xp...it happened to me a couple times on my remaster of the profession...i just sat and logged and logged back in and it was all good...if it is another bug i am sorry you are having this problem
