I'm a master tailor that gets tells all the time to make schematics for armorsmiths...i wanted to get a consenus of my fellow tailors....wookie pads have been a big and profitable selling item....it can be for all of us...the armorsmith need us to get those pads....why do tailors sell the schematics for cheap or nothing ? If you don't sell the schematics they have to buy the pads from you....why do you want to make the armorsmiths richer? There are not a lot of tailors in the game compared to the other professions...we should unite in an effort to keep the schematics and perhaps even fix the price of the pads so that we all can get our just financial benefit...they can't make the armor without us....otherwise its selling a ton every day to make a good living in the game....(how many of you are making 100k a day selling on the bazaar)?what do you think? what should be a fair price for a crate of 25 pads?

Finally an item that can sell high which involves easily obtainable items that are not expensive....yet i see a lot of tailors giving away schematics to our rich armorsmith friends for free or very little money....if they don't have the schematic ,that only tailors can make, they can't make the pads...which means they can't make the armor....if you don't give away the schematic they have to buy the pads from you....we need to be united against the distribution of the schematics! Why make the armorsmiths richer at our expense? The armorsmith can sell the armor for 100k...how many clothing articals do you have to sell to make 100k?
We should unite on this issue....what do you all feel would be a reasonable price for the pads?

Good post, I don't know what to charge. I only really make them for my fellow-PA members, and of course I make them freely - tis only right.
For the public *shrugs* not sure? What is everyone else out there charging?

I dunno, I don't want to make the pads so I'll sell the schematics. But I charge fairly well for schematics. Charged 40k today for 2 synthetic cloth schems. Basically, my take is this. If they want to bypass me, the crafter, and simply make my finished goods without paying me for them, they'd better at least pay me SOMETHING for the privilege. With something as vital as padded, I'd definately charge a lot higher. AS's can affort it, and like it was pointed out. They get over 100k for ONE set of the armor they make using our schematics.

Good wooly hides are being bought for 50cpu. Selling the pads at that would be a break even point. Sell them for 75cpu and you will still sell tons of them.
That would be something like 25 units of hide and 5 units of fiber = something around 2k per segment to be inline with the armoursmiths costs to make them. Some might be charging 100cpu so there is still profit for them to make.
a crate of 25 would then be 50k each That makes 5 suits at 100k each

Considering I charge 100k for a synth schem (is cheaper than paying 3k a crate = 120k and I actually charge 3.5k a crate.), I'm sure I'll charge quite a bit more for a wook pillow schem. As it currently stands though, I have no plans to make these for anyone but a very super wookiee thats become like family.
Oh yeah, I might have to make one schem for a certain retired AS should he go back into business.. seeing as how half of my fiber and poly came from him anyway.
