Thread: From what I understand, clothing decay is supposed to be live now with the CURB!

Someone had sent in a ticket in the game because his clothing was decaying rapidly.
The CSR responded by telling him that clothing now decays in the CU and he couldn't replace his clothes.
If this is the decay tailors wanted, it's way to rapid to be of ANY benefit to tailors for repeast buisness. No one will want to pay for new BE outfits every day and they won't be able to afford it.

lol, that could be my one... and i still want to get reimbused for my clothes. i almost lost a ns biscep which now has 8 condition (had 51 before) and have a black sun ace helmet that is totally destroyed now (had 100/100 before). it cant be possible that a MAJOR change in game play which is changing the decay system of clothes (which hasnt changed for OVER 1 1/2 year) isnt announced in a mail, major update message or whatever. some have padawan robes now with 0 condition ! who are we supposed to know that something that existed 1 1/2 year in game now changes in that a drastic way ??? when i could see into the future i would play lottery for sure and not swg. i still insist in getting my condition back. i dont care if it remains casuewhen i know iot i can reakt on it, but play that a little bit further. jedi and tkm are SUPPOSED to wear clothes. now imagine what happens when that (funny) decay system remains in place. well i suppose you all like the idea of hundreds of players running around virtually... naked... whoever is responsible for that - fire him

Do you mean now it just decays by itself just not with death? Or decays when you are hit by a mob or in PVP?

Here's whats happening.
Clothing that takes up slots also associated with armor is taking decay.
My cargo vest takes decay when I'm hit in combat. This is because it takes up the 'chest' slot.
Helmets and hats take decay because they take up an 'armor' slot. That NS bicep took decay because it takes up a bicep slot.
Jedi Robes take decay because they take up all slots except hands, belt, and hat.
It seems that the 'decay' code was changed to not look for the 'armor' attribute, but rather to 'decay' whatever was hit if it was associated with any of the 'armor' slots.
My shirt doesn't decay. It doesn't take up an armor slot.
My shorts don't decay either; I think this is because they don't cover the calves of my legs.
Boots and gloves don't decay, as hands and feet are no longer valid hit locations. Belts may decay; the PSG takes up a belt slot, after all.
That's what I surmise is happening. A small change in the decay code has unintended consequences that are effectively destroying clothing.

I just have to say I never wanted decay... and now this rapid decay, I doubt it will generate MORE customers because it's not worth spending the credits for new outfits every day. If Repair worked it might help... but 1000 condition is too low at the current rate of decay.
