Here's what we know so far. Since the same questions are being asked over and over again, I thought this compilation might be helpful.
Current Changes and Issues
Bioengineered Tissues
Some tissues have been changed because the old mods no longer work in the CU. Here is the conversion (courtesy of ArthurdentonBria):
This applies only to tissues that are not combined in clothing.
Already existing clothing does not convert mods. So if you have a bleed defense shirt, it won't convert to a healing efficiency shirt. Sorry.
Decay
Clothing now decays when hit. From the info we have:
Not all pieces decay
Clothing decay is too rapid
Clothing is still equippable with bonuses when decayed to zero
A CSR has claimed this change intentional but we have no red-name word on it yet
No use-based decay has been implemented
Update: Devs say that clothing decay is a bug.
Socketing
Reports have come in about socketing rates increasing. We will have to investigate.
Vendor & Character heights
All players and vendors are now the same height. This is presumably a bug.
Death in the frontier
We cannot wear armor and will likely die out surveying. Yes, this is still an issue, and I believe that "hire a bodyguard" is an unsatisfactory answer. We CAN wear a PSG. Last I checked, a PSG used the "belt" spot so cannot be worn with dresses, etc. I found that out the hard way when wearing a grand healer robe, and then suddenly, nothing.
Clothing and armor attachments
Status unclear. It appears that they may be "sticking" properly, or at least differently than before. We will have to gather more data on this issue.
+25 cap
Is the mod cap still +25? The total cap is gone, but the cap per item is +25. Possibly a bug.
Issues That May Come Up
Hide supply
Update: looking fine. The hide levels appear to scale to creature level, and seems comparable to the rate of return under the old system, if not a better rate of return.
BE tissue supply/prices
Could go either way. BE's could be too busy with meds to think about us, or we could have more "dabbling" BE's taking the tissue line and the medical line.
Cybernetic limbs
Cybernetic limbs block clothing. A limb works as armor, so anything you can wear with bracer, biceps, and gloves you can wear with a cybernetic arm. Cybernetic legs act as armor pants and boots. According to recent patch notes, cybernetic limbs will no longer appear when you clone.
Boring BE clothing options
This has been a problem for a while, but may be more of a problem now that TKA's wear clothing, not armor. Will this lack of style hurt our market?
Repair
It doesn't work. And old problem, but will resurface now that we have clothing decay in battle.

mask scent/cammo => mask scent/cammo
creature taming/taming vicious => creature taming/taming vicious
dance/music healing => battle fatigue healing
warcry/intimidate => unarmed damage/terrain negotiation
cover => surveying
injury/wound treatment => augmentation/cure efficiency
stun/melee defense => ranged/melee defense
bleed defense => healing efficiency
they are all converted "value-for-value"
