Thread: New Tailor Needs help
Hey everyone I was wondering what to make as a novice tailor to grind. Any help or suggestions will help, thanks in advance.
Ribbed shirts, Grind to field wear 2
Then link Steel Gloves to field wear 4
Then cartridge belts for the other 12 tailor boxes.
Make sure you have lots of resources saved up.
yw, you need about 9 hours of solid grinding to hit master tailor from novice. But 9 hours is a really long time. Make sure you have some music to listen too, lots of munchies and some of your favourite tipple.
Set up macros to open your crafting tool at the correct schematic, have multiple (5 or 6) crafting tools and remember to use practice if you are grinding. Do it away from a crafting station as then you have less clicks.
Talking on the phone while you grind is highly recommended. Grinding is such a simple task that requires no brain time at all that if you are chatting away while you are doing it, you hardly notice you are.
great ideas, but how do i make the macro to open the crafting tool at the right schematic? also, when you're with a group hunting or doing missions together, /follow the leader, and you can grind away while running to and from the mission objectives. just make sure the guy you're auto-following doesn't keep running into trees or sharp corners, then you might get stuck, hehe. oh, and you can't boot up the crafting tool while swimming, lol.
**Customer Satisfaction is My Goal!**
why do you separate Field wear from the other lines?
Ah... this is wise... so cart belts give you 300 Xp and they require the same amount of resourcesthe ribbed shirts do?
Thank you for the nice advice anyway ![]()
Cartridge belts take 110 resources, ribbed shirts take 60.
"" Ri'a Ocoli
"" Novice Tailor, Kettemoor

"" .. my door is always open, stop by any time!
At first I was against grinding to master. But I keep getting requests for clothes that I don't have the ability to make yet, so a-grinding I will go. But not in one sitting. lol That would be massive Carpel Tunnel Syndrome.
I should be getting Field II tonight. I was almosttempted to get Formal I, but most of my customers are combatting men anyways so it is just better business to do the Field column first anyway. I figure once I do that, I will do row by row until I hit master.
After you hit cart belts, your practice session will be giving you almost 300 XP per item..
Ribbed shirts only give 150....
Cloaks are also good if you want to sell your stuff instead of just practicing.. but they require hides..
whats the estimated resource count for the entire grind????
I figured it would be about 4:1 fiberplast to metal ratio for the entire profession...
200,000 fiberplast and about 50,000 metal sound about right???
