My new Rodian is nekkid and needs sweet duds to wear for an important function. Problem is, I want his clothes to be made only by me. If anyone can drop some hints or tips on this matter, such asmaterials to gather and credits needed to master Tailor in as little time and creditspossible,I'd greatly appreciate it!

Grind Ribbed shirts ...... it will take about 155k to 165k of Metal and the same in Fiberplast (depending on critFAILS). Youwill need to get several C&A crafting tools (5 or6) and write a macro. If you are just going to make your own clothes get the stuff and go. If you plan on becoming a real Tailor and selling to the public you had better spend some time after each level up learning your clothing.There are at least 7 (maybe 9 - can't remember for sure)color pallets forclothingand sometimes the same color will look different on different clothing.To become aTRUE 'Master' at tailoring, it will take more than just grinding.

Good luck!

Go straight up Field Wear... Grind ribbed shirts until you get Field Wear II then switch to Link-Steel Reinforced Gloves... Grind those until you get to Field Wear IV then it's either Cartridge Belts or Grenadier's Belts (depending on your resources) all the way...!

Good luck to you and may the force be with you...

The macro you need is just one to select your tool, then the schematic for the ribbed shirt or cartridge belt. Something like...

/ui action toolbarSlot05;

/selectDraftSchematic 56;

That macro will select your F6 key, and then select a specific clothing item to build. The number is different for every person so you'll have to play around to find what number draftschematic you need for ribbed shirts and cartridge belts.

What he fails to mention is that he picked up a holocron the other day that said he had to become a master tailor.

Maybe the reason given was valid, but do tell the whole truth when you're looking to grind to master ASAP, eh? Some of us worked hard at what we did because we liked & wanted the profession...not because we were looking to opening the FS.

Coming in here and blowing sunshine up our asterisks about your motives for being a master tailor is a sure way to get a dark-force point. That's not cool.

The funny this is, if he got it from a sith, it seems as though they may just be trying to get people to go up the wrong tree. So I hope he wastes time, money, and effort making it for nothing. Why? Well, mostly because I'm in a bad mood

ug, those people who lucked out and got told to go master tailor by the holocron sure lucked out. Our class seems to be easiest for grinding, a couple days hard grind and your done .

Thank you kindly, Brianne. I'll be sure toreturn your kindness you showed mehere in due time.As for the FS slot, yes I was told to master Tailoring by a Sith Holocron. Therefore, the important function I mentioned earlier in my first post is that Iam working towards that FS slot.

To be honest, and itis extremely ironic, is the fact that I actually started tailoing as a profession when I started this game. Went up maybe the first coupleof boxes before deciding to switch to medic as I was tired of buying stims for the outrageous prices people were charging at the time. Like 7k for a stim A.

Anyway, I am terribly sorry for misleading, lying or otherwise insulting anyone's intelligence. I honestly don't think I did, but people take things differently when it comes to forums than others do and therefore I do humbly apologize.

Also would like to thank the people who actually posted tips on how to master Tailoring. Very kind of you and I do appreciate it.

::shrug::

It's called telling the whole truth. You came on here & didn't tell the whole story. I don't think anyone would really fault you for grinding if you were doing it to achieve something you were wanting. However, coming on here & completely misrepresenting yourself to these people who don't know the whole story? It's not fair to them at all.

I spent months working my way up to master tailor. It's something I enjoy doing, and I do it for the fun of it, not to get rich or open up my force slot. So, if you're going to "return your kindness you showed mehere in due time"....all I can say is oooooh. I'm not afraid of your threats. I've made a lot of friends within the game & I've never proven myself to be anything but an honest player, something you obviously are having trouble with. Therefore, I'm not impressed by your attitude at all.

Personally, I think it's terrible that this game is cheapening the hard work people have done because of the few who have to power level in order to be uber, which seems to be the case here. Just because you started out as tailor doesn't mean anything---all it means is, it didn't satisfy your need to be elite. So don't try to pull the wool over peoples' eyes again by pretending this is suddenly something you WANT to do. Because it's a lie, just like your original post.

Nice try, but most people catch onto lies pretty quick. Something to keep in mind, even when playing a game or conversing over a computer. But ultimately, I don't think you really care, just as long as you reach that Jedi rank first, eh?

Against my better judgement, in lieu of just letitng this thread die, I am going to respond to you Brianne.

Point One: We each play this game however we want. If I want to be 'uber' or get that first FS slot in the game, then guess what? It's my 15 bucks a month thats paying for it, not yours. Dont blame me for your shoddy shortcomings.

Point Two: I didnt lie, and I didnt mis-represent myself. I said that I needed to make master Tailor as fast as possible for an important function. Getting a FS is an important function. I tried tailoring once didnt like it, now faced with the reality that I have to do it for a FS, well guess what. I'm gonna go through it as fast as possible. I didnt like it then, and I dont like it now. Why make something I dont like last any longer than I must?

Point Three: You called this 'cheapening the game.' This is crap. Why? Because what I do has NO bearing on you at all. So you went through master Tailor your way. Big deal. But because you did, doesthat give you the right to strike me down because I just want to do it and get it over with, doing it MY WAY?

Hell, I'm a master CH, got it through hard work and dedication. Now, do I harbor ill will or tell other master CH's that used the CH xp exploit awhile back (some who got master CH in like less than a day of griding I might add) that their efforts are any worse than mine? No, I dont. Because ultimately they paid their 15 bucks just like I did that month. Only difference is, they made master CH in a day through an exploit, whereas it took me two months. I dont hate 'em, and why should I? Did they directly somehow affect me, personally, in the game? Nope. I'm still a master CH at the end of the day, just like them.They paid their money at the end of the month just like I did.

So. Do I hate them? No. Do I despise them? No. And here's why:

BECAUSE THEY PLAY HOW THEY WANT. JUST LIKE I HOW I WANT.THEY HAVE NO CONTROL OVER ME. JUST AS I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THEM.

Which, to that effect, Brianne, I highly suggest you adopt the same attitude. Because I guarantee you, that if you continue to hold this 'holier than thou' attitude against people who play this game a little differently than you, you will soon become disspassioned and distinterested in it.

That's it though. I am through withboth you and thisthreadBrianne.Your efforts to grind my face even further into this mess, even after I apologized to those that I might have offended, reeks of petty play on your part.

And lest Iforget, a last point. You said I lied, that I have problems being an 'honest player' as well asa few more insults I will forego from listing. But the bottom line here is this. I've played this game since launch. I've played this game since Beta 2. I know the classes, I know what it takes. I am not a powergamer by any means. I am not afflicted with 'uberness' or being l337.

I want that FS slot because its something new. Its unique. I hope it restores my faith in this game that SOE and LA have what it takes to make this game FUN again. I am not having fun as my current class or classes in the past. If in my eagerness to get there I have offended people, then I apologize. It was not my intention. I have tried to make things right, but thats obviously not good enough for you. Which is fine.

You say that people in the game know you to be an honorable person. But now,through this debacle, I know you now as to be petty, rude and insulting. Which, in my book, isfar more important to know than the pretenses you try to fool people with in the game.
