Thread: We Need Real Clothing Decay.
Back when I was in the beta they took their first stab at clothing decay, but the decay was constant and all the time, your clothes would decay even while you weren't using them. I can't remember wether they decayed while you were offline or not wearing them or both, but thats not the point.
Everybody decided we didn't want a non-usage decay, so they removed it, i'm sure many thought they would eventually bring in a decay based on usage, so that is what i'm suggesting.
I think we that clothes need to decay while we wear them and only while we wear them,at a slow enough rate so that they last at least a month, up to 3 months or more.
At the same time bring back durability experimentation and another experimentation type would be nice.
Decay should only be on usage, but seeing as when people sometimes use /quit they take a while to logout, or when ppl are AFK ( maybe waiting for something in game ) they aren't actually playing the game; therefore not exactly using their clothes themselves. Those people may not like decay on those times, if you can't remove decay on those times, maybe you could fade the clothes or do something else to show their wear and tear than destroying them. ( Devs, if you can't make many more colours of clothes or fade them please let us know, as many ppl are under the assumption you can. I am no longer sure. )
Anyway that is my suggestion, I hope others will post their ideas and improvements, but I'm quite certain decay needs to be on usage. ( However usage could be calculated differently to that way I suggested )
