Thread: Am I the only one that cant color the text of my clothes anymore!?
After the new patch, I cant color text! This SERIOUSLY sucks! I always color coded my clothing with it's name, etc!
Anyone else having this problem!?
I can't either *sob*. I never went insanoe with the colorz like some people did, I only used colors to colorize my makers mark "sv" on the end of each article of clothing. But I sure am gonna miss that extra bit of visibility on the bazar those two colored letters granted my clothing
.
I imagine they "fixed" this cause a lot of people were abusing it, colored everything, colors that make your eye's bleed, colors that induce epileptic attacks, colors that make it impossible to read. Some people just used the colors a little bit too heavily
, and now none of us can color stuff.
I know.... it's such a pain in the butt.I actually went through the trouble of writing down the hex codes for the colors in all the tailoring palettes and used these to make clothing names the color of the clothing. Since my vendors are stocked with 700+ items it makes picking out matching clothing feasible for my customers while still letting me provide a wide selection of outfits.
Now customers will have to literally load and view the image of everything in order to see what I have in what colors...... or then again they don't "have" to.They'll likely just leave or they'll start ordering everythnig custom rather than searching vendors.
Arghhhhh All that work for nada

Agh, now it is going to be extremely hard to identify my BE enhanced clothing. Wonderful.
I considered color coding at one time - but I stuff so much info on the title line - I usually didn't have room.
A typical bio title looks something like
Medic (+34) White/Crimson Luxurious Gown - 4 socket
Some lines have more room than others - but if you get into multiple buffs - or really long color or pattern names, you can run out of room.
It takes a bit of time to title everything, but it's easy to see and sort on the vendor. I used to put the color name after the pattern title - but doing an alpha sort will group the colors together somewhat - especially if the customer is looking under item - not all. Putting the bio buff first also makes for an easy sort if they are looking for a specific bonus.
I tend to 'stock' certain colors, white, black, sapphire, emerald, peach, coral, crimson, steelblue, ultraviolet, tangerine, hot chocolate- if I stray away from my standard 'named' colors - I try to put the number of the color behind the name like Blue (88) is a very nice blue in the leather palette - and I'll know instantly what was used if they ever want to come back to 'match' it. Made some of the new metallic red last night and dubbed it Ruby - and I'm loving it.
Oh, this is SO NOT GOOD.![]()
Are tailors the only ones that lost the option of custom coloring crafted items? This is a truly horrific nerf for those of us that used the colors to good effect. I always colored the first letter of the title to represent the dominant color of the item. I also used it to help sort my outfits that I keep in my own inventory.
Why did they do this? Did they think they were helping us out so that socketed items would show as yellow in my inventory? I could care less about that....
Grrrrrr.
Xarrah Harraxah... one upset master tailor.

yes, but extra visibility on the bazaar is granted through a merchant skill. using colours was likely considered a workaround to that.

Has there been any word that this is a bug? Or is this something they removed for some reason? I sure hope it is fixed
Colors...COME BACK!!!!
