I don't know, if that is new.

Yesterday I wanted to install a wookie vendor in my new house/shop and name him "Wookiee Clothing". And guess what. I got the message "Try a name less obscene" or something like that.

Huh?

**edit** is wrong with the word "Wookiee"? I have another vendor named" vendor: clothing", so "clothing" can not be the bad part.

I had problems naming a vendor for my PA's General Store last night. Two main things I found:

1. Most use of punctuation in the name renders the name unusable. So, I couldnt call it 'GlitterWear Clothing (main store: -1297, 386 Naboo)' because
a) I couldn't use brackets
b) I couldn't use a colon
c) It didn't seem to like me putting a comma there, either.

I found out that a dash - was acceptable.

So, I created a new name, nastily unpunctuated.

And then I found:

2. If the name is too long, it won't accept it either.

I don't mean 'if the name is too long to fit in the naming box' ... just if it's over some random length.

So ... I gave up, and just called it 'GlitterWear Clothing' (which was OK) and stuck a brightly-coloured item next to the vendor with the other info. on it .....

that error message is just a general one that they used for everything that goes wrong with vendor naming the word "wookiee" won't work, but "wookie" is ok (which is why everyone seems to misspell wookiee on their vendor

i just made my last vendor today, and apparently i can't use "master" either, so "Pappi Inc - master tailor items" was out of the question... ironically, "masta" was ok (oh. my. god. now *THAT* should be a word that's censored) , so my vendor endedup to be "Pappi Inc - special offers". guess people who want master stuff will just have to dig thru my general clothing vendor, hehe
