Thread: Tailor and Combat Char
Whats the best combo?
Currently I'm MCH and going to be Master Tailor, with up to business 3 so I can get a vendor. Eventually I wanna holo it up to get my FS slot, but I wanna stay a tailor as long as possible, can anyone advise me the best combat class I can be TKM? Or something similar? CH is pretty boring, i don't do anything whilst my merek goes and kills slimy rebels. I wanna own them ![]()
Well, there really isn't a whole lot of synergy between having combat and tailoring skills, so pick whatever is fun for you. If you have some scouting (hunting in particular) it helps you get hides, which are useful, but as plentiful as they are to buy, even that I'd say is of limited value to you as a tailor.

yeah, dabbling in CH isn't going to be very viable any more. it's gonna be Master CH or nothin if you wanna compete.
If you want to pve go with a melee class (except pikeman which is broke). PvE TKA is best, with fencer and swordsman doing pretty good as well.
The reason I say go melee is cause the ranged classes arn't very good at tanking, and 90% of pve involves creatures who'r melee.
woah woah woah....someone DOESN'T want to be a CH?????
check my pulse...![]()
if you want to do some PVP on the side in a group i suggest rifleman. that T-21 armor piercing is nice.
Hunting for hides do Carbineer for the wound damage.
solo pvp pr pve do CH like all the other soloers. it is the only way. especially after they remove PVE from faction pets. ![]()
I am a master tailor/ master artisan with some rifleman and scout skills. I can help out my guild in shots by one shotting unarmed Newbs and I can fix there clothing after they die. Plus we all have nice uniforms to wear into battle too. ![]()
Hehehe, when my tailoring days are over I have no idea what I'm going to do. So many choices! I was thinking TKA or something mixed with doc.
Still it will be a while before I am bored with tailoring, trying Armorsmith next. But the time will come whenI will want to leave crafting behind to try new things ![]()

Aha! So rifleman IS good for something after all, lol. I had a rifleman/ranger character for PVE, usually solo or with one or two friends. The guy was utterly worthless in combat, lol. It was just terrible. He'd get off a couple shots, and if the critter wasn't dead by then,he was dead for sure, cause rifleman are just horrible fighting up close. I switched him to Carbineer and he's now much much better in such combat situations. But yea, I guess in PVP with a big support group I suppose a rifleman might be effective there
