I looted some (exceptional)Heavy Duty Clasp and I was wondering if these do anything extra special, I ask a master tailor friend and he had never seen any or knew what they did.

Tailors use it for:
Component name: Heavy Duty Clasps
Location found/monster: Nightsisters (rancor tamers, stalkers), Dathomir; Tuskans; Rebel NPC's; meatlumps
Used in: Demolitions Belt, Droidsmith Tool SetDroidsmith Tool Set, Weaponsmith Tool Set

yes I know all this but every other Expectional item in the game is uber sweet so i wanted to know if someone else has found these and it gave say a +6 instead of the +5normal

As far as I know execptional clasps/leathers do nothing for extra stats, all loot items in the game have have a chance of being exceptional or legendary, it's just that in this case they make no difference save perhaps you getting a better chance of an amazing success
the odds of something being legendary are (i think )1 in 500,000 and i believe that someone has gotten legendary heavy leathers, i don't recall anyone posting that they made a difference.
