I have just made novice tailor, bu i cannot see any tailering items in my generel crafting cit...

Do i need a special kit to craft tailering items, and if so, where can i get one?

I ahve tried going to the public crafting stations, but they dont seem to work. People tell me to stand next to them, but they do not activete. Do i need anything to use them?

Hope you can help a troubled tailor.

Check your clothing schematics. If they say "Requires generic crafting tool" then they can be made with what you already have. If they say "Requires specialized crafting tool" then you need a clothing and armor crafting tool. You can either check the local bazaar, or if you have Engineering 1 you can make your own with your generic crafting tool. Then later when you see a schematic that says "Requires specialized crafting tool and crafting station" then you have to use your clothing crafting tool near a clothing crafting station in order to be able to craft it. Also any time you use your clothing crafting tool near a clothing crafting station, you will get an additional option to create a prototype or create a schematic. A prototype is the actual clothing item that you are used to crafting. A schematic will be stored in your datapad and is used to give to a clothing factory to mass produce a clothing item or component with all the exact same ingredients that you use to make the schematic. When you start getting clothing schematics that call for identical items from a factory crate such as synth cloth or metal fasteners (and sometimes I think they're referred to as just being 'similar' items, but it still means identical), you will need create schematics and produce them in a factory.
