1) When does colour two come into play?

i) Is it when you reach Novice Tailor?

ii) Can you apply colour two to Artisan crafted clothes?

2) Is it best to climb up the colour chart a bit before going down the formal/casual/field op line?

1) I dont think they have a 2ns color, geting a 2nd color of piece of clothing just depends on the piece of clothing(but you dont get to work with more then 2 till you hit master(Been in our top 5 fopr a long time to get this fixed))

2) if your looking to get master I would go up the field wear 4 to grind belts, or go up casual to 3 and grind cloak(goes faster but you need alot of hide) but if your looking for fun i would go up one of the line, then up talioring then get the rest.

Drake hit the nail on the head. If there is something that you know for a fact has more that one color on it and you can only craft it monotonal, atm, you will get the second color at master.

Personally, on the color issue... I wanted a few more to play with but wanted more clothing worse so I took the tailoring 2 box then went up my other lines. Then I went back and did the rest of the tailoring boxes.

I would say most important is to enjoy the journey and learn the craft. Really learn it. Nothing will alienate and frustrate your customers faster than being told they can have a red or bluethis or that only to be told later.. oops sorry it doesn't come in that color. IMHO, there is nothing wrong with grinding. I did a lot of it myself (a long time ago..like last august..my how things change...who knew it would catch on!..I didn'tmean to start a trend!lol).Personally, everytime I acheived a new skill box.. after Iquitjumping for joy, I would make two of everything new that I could make and then one of everything in the box before. It's not perfect by anymeans.. but some people will grind and never look at items again until they are asked for a Longsleeve Gown and swear that there isn't one.

Ok.. sorry for the slight tangent there.. good luck and have fun and if you're in the area and need training....send me a /tell to see if I'm on.

What I did is alternate between tailoring and field wear lines, it worked pretty well for me. I also didn't do much grinding, and only used a macro for that last 20k of exp I needed. I recently discovered that you can't always run while crafting anymore, or I would suggest taking survey missions while grinding.

As for the 2nd color, I could have sworn there were some 2nd colors I got going up the tailoring line but I could be wrong.

Oh, and it helped me a lot to start my vendors early and stock them up as I was exping.

You get color 2 at novice tailor, and you get color 3 at master tailor (which doesn't quite seem right...)
