Thread: Publish 9 info
*Keeps Fingers Crossed*
I wouldn't expect any tailor news in the rough outline anyway since there is no tailor revamp scheduled for at least publish 9 and 10 (unless they change what they have already announced). Some bug fixes would really be apprecieated, though. I hope they manage to work some of them in!
Honestly I think they'll be rather busy with the force-sensitive revamp. That looks to be a huge undertaking. With the looted schematics from a couple patches ago, and the fact that tailoring is mostly functional, I would not expect any significant attention from the devs for many months to come. I know we deserve some loving, but, honestly, there are other professions that deserve it more.
Jeni
Fatal Fashions
Shadowfire

Well... the attention being given to entertainers may be one of our best bets at getting new clothes.I think it's been mentioned before that they'd love to add more dancing outfits!

Gyopi,
I totally agree, they really need to think of the "big picture" when making changes and assigning development resources. Also, there's no doubt in my mind whatsoever that there are much fewer tailors then there used to be. Probably half as many.
I disagree with the characterization of smuggler being "truly broken" however. My best in-game friend just advanced to master smuggler and seemed to have a lot of fun with it before dropping it (he's on a semi-holo trip). Obviously there is a huge huge market for weapon and armor slicing, feign death is so powerful in combat it could probably be classified as an exploit, and although the new food has certainly cut into smuggler's drugs big-time there is still a nice market for them. I think if anything the biggest problem with smuggler seems to be that they failed to capture the "essence" of what a smuggler does from the movies. I certainly wouldn't call them broken however. They are no more broken then we are, or than bounty hunter is, or ranger, or many others. Could they use a big revamp? yep, hope they get it too.

They are certainly useful and in demand, so in a sense they are not broken! By broken, I mean that there is an entirebranch that uses up skillpoints, but doesn't actually do anything. Its not nearly as bad as the squad leader, which has a four branches and a master box which doesn't actually do anything useful.
