Thread: BE enhanced Clothing bug?

I tried to make several BE enhanced items of clothing last night. The problem was, when I put multiple enhancements into a schematic, I would only get one level of bonuses. For example: I made some paramilitary pants. I put 2 +11 Mask Scent enhancements (total 22) but when I created the item, I only got +11 pants.

This happened with EVERY piece of clothing I made. Has anyone else seen this bug or know a workaround to it?

Its not a bug. That the way that it is inteneded to work. If you want tissues to stack, it has to have more than one slot for the enhanced cloth, not just one slot with multiple cloth. Mask scent goes into reinforced fiber panels and there are no clothes that have more than one of these slots.

Paramilitary Cammos requre 2 Identical synthetic cloth. If both elements of this have +11, why did I not get +22? I can't believe that what you say of this working as intended is accurate.

Sorry, not a bug, this is the way the Devs want it to work. Yes it sucks, but thats how it is.

Let me get this straight then, there is absolutely no point in making identical BE synthetic cloths then? I mean, if using multiple synthetics, as called for in the schematic, doesn't propogate improving stats, then what's the point?

Well, first of all, mask scent goes into RFP, not synthetic cloth and the bonus is per slot, not per cloth. If there was something called the "super-fantastic robe of excellence" and it had one slot which took 300 synthetic cloth, then you could put in 300 identical +11 synthetic cloths into that slot and still only get +11. The devs have said that is the way that it was designed. Paramillitary camos have a slot with 2 synthetic cloth and one slot with a RFP. That means you can use one RFP for one bonus (mask scent, for example) and then put in two +15 medical synthetic cloth into the other slot to get a +15 medical bonus.

Some things have more than one slot. For example, slacks have 2 synthetic cloth slots with 2 cloths each in them. So if you wanted to make +25 medical enhanced slacks, you would need 2 sets of 2 identical +13 (or more) medical enhanced synthetic cloth. I hope that makes sense.

Well, this is not how it worked when I last did a custom order for someone. About 2 or 3 months ago, this worked as I thought it would. Now, that seems to have changed. Oh well, I guess I'll drop MT and go for a prof that isn't this retarded.

Speaking of "BE enhanced clothing bugs"... I have one.

I remember making Wookiee Shoulder Pads. Supposedly, the wookiee shoulder pad requires a reinforced fiberplast panel to make (and the best part about it is it requires some synthetic cloths as well... allowing it to have more BE bonuses), meaning I should be able to put a bleeding defense in it. I used a BE'd (for bleeding defense) RFP to make the shoulder pad, and the bonus did not stick. Has anyone tried this? I've done this twice, and both times it did not stick.

I've been a master tailor for quite a long time, and this is the way that it has worked as long as I can remember it (but I did not make BE clothing before enhancements started working...). Anyway, tailor is broken, just like almost ever other profession, but this is not one of the ways that it is broken. Having things broken does not make the profession "retarded", though.

I had several crates of enhanced cloth lose all of its enhancements for some reason. Check to make sure that the cloth itself still shows a bonus.

When they fixed BE clothing, if you used any "normal" cloths from pre-patch, it would destroy the bonuses. Make sure that your regular panels aren't really really old.
