I have been grinding Tailor this morning and found it quite interesting so far been reading lots of posts too to see what I can learn but I have a question!

In the faq it says to grind ribbed shirts and then cartridge belts to master is this simplly the easiest way to do it or is there a faster way? Reason I ask is because most grind faq don't seem to take into consideration someone with millions at their disposal and willing to spend money like water to get to Master fast.

So I guess I want to know is there a faster way using components bought and if there is who wants a lucrative contract to make components for me?

There isn't really any faster way. Don't bother with components unless you actually want to make useful items to sell. The more resources an item uses the more xp you get. Components either aren't counted in that or each one counts as 1 resource so you actually get less xp overall for making an item with lots of components in. I forget now as I noticed it when I first started out as a tailor but I didn't work it out properly.

The FAQ is pretty much right, ribbed shirts, link steel gloves aren't too bad either, and cartridge belts. That's pretty much the best and quickest way to grind your way up through the tailor skills.

Actually, I think that Link Steel gloves are available to you in field wear 2. If you switch to grinding those once you reach field wear 2 you will get to cartridge belts much faster. I believe that you get around 100 xp per shirt and about 180 per pair of gloves.

cloaks give the same xp as cartridge belts, but they take hides. However, i think you get them in casual 3, vs. fielwear 4 (at least i think so....been forever since i did them) and as a bonus, drop them on the bazaar for 800-1k, and make a little extra cash on the side.
