Was wondering if there are any parts used in tailoring that might also be useful in house decorateing? For instance, something that would drape for bed canopy or show up like a flat panel to cover walls. Any suggestions greatly appreciated or other trade possibilities.

I'm sure there are various things can be used. I had a person order 10 crates of Bright Red modest Skirts from me. I was confused as to why she wanted so many. Turns out she used them for curtains in her house.
So yeah, i'm sure you might be able to fnid something that would work for ya.

Yes. Go to game guides forum and look for Garva's Galactic HomeShow. It is stickied each week with the new entry. In it, is the link to all past entries, where you will find examples of clothing used for decorating. Also, go to the following postand scroll down for the amazing Darth Vader painting. Look very closely and you will see many items of clothing.

Wow. I had never thought of that. For about a month now I've been collecting various things to decorate my house (crystals, royal jelly carafe, dough, random forages). I'm a tailor, and had never thought to put my own work to good decorative use.

I've used pleated skirts to fashion a canopy over one of the large beds. Someone I know used Wookie smocks as drapings in his house. I haven't seen the finished product though so can't recommend it. LOL

Wow this takes me back.
Any UO Alumni remember doing this kind of thing with clothes?
For example
-Piano made from black cloaks, checkerboards, and end tables.
-Bookshelves from stacking benches
-Fountains from stacks of cloth.
Etc, etc, etc.

Pianos and fireplaces. When I got bored crafting, I started decorating. There was this incredible rock garden on a tower in Europa that really took the cake though...
