When I started playing back at the game's release I was set on being a tailor. Unfortunately, my plans were shot down very quickly because clothing isn't as viable to the combat professions as armor is. In addition to all the obvious combat changes of specials, weapons, and armor, I say that tailoring should definitely play a stronger role in combat.

Hehe I know it sounds silly when you single out that part of the sentance but its true when you look at it.

Clothing should be more appealing than armor in many cases. Simply put there should be a whole ocean of clothing skill enhancements available. Theres a good start with stun and melee defense, but it should be expanded to include or at least touch on a lot of the buffs available out there.

Why don't those cool combat boots have an innate bonus to terrain negotiation?

Why don't casual shoes or sneakers have a tiny dodge bonus?

Why doesn't the bulky and nerdy looking tech pack have artisan crafting bonuses?

In general Clothing should be agood alternative to armor when in and out of combat. Not everyone is tanking so clothing should take the place of armor more often. When this question is poised to developers, it would create greater immersion in the game and provide more depth when players have to chose between a breastplate that keeps them from getting hurt, or a shirt which ensures they will be more accurate with thie pistol.

Someone might say that there are lootable attachments that do that. However, these attachments are too random and too reliant on combat anyways that make tailoring good stat improving clothes rare indulgences. This is far from the current armor mainstay.

Remember, clothing is universal, armor is not.

Hmm I like that, especially the bonuses to dodge and terrain negotiation. It seems like a good idea, although first we need to fix the 0 condition doesn't matter thing, that way we can all sell more than just one of each thing to people and they not have to worry about it.
