Greetings
I just recently came back to the game after a 6 month Hiatus, which lost me everything (I hadn't planned on coming back heh). So I'm starting from scratch, and decided to open a new shop. Now my question is this, the lack of 4 sockets on items.. how are other tailors dealing with this? I have to admit I'm a bit of a perfectionist, before the "nerf" I never put anything on my vendors without 4 sockets, unless it naturally had none. Now I'm getting so mad making items, burning thru my resources for nothing, because I want to keep the "quality" high on my items. I already know this is gonna cause me major headaches if I keep this up, it already is. I dread going to my vendors to stock them, and I've not even opened my shop yet.

So basically, how are you handling it? I mean, I intended to put 3 & 4 socket items on my vendors..but it seems to difficult to master with my limited supplies of resources since I'm essentially starting over. Are you just saying oh well and selling items with less sockets? Or are you suffering thru the same problems?Just kind of want other tailors opinions on the matter.

Basically, I don't care about the sockets unless it's some special scheamtic items, BE item or the customer specifically requests 4 sockets, in those cases I'll lower the price a little if the item gets zero or 1 socket. Other than that I don't bother becuase lots and lots of people still only care about the look and I still sometimes get blank faces when I talk about sockets. Even the socketless items sell on the vendor so I don't think it's such a big issue really. It's a big pain when you do want the 4 sockets though.

Latest word on socketing.
Also see Link directory for the evolution of the socketing problem.
(The link directory can be accessed from the main "FAQ" stickie - which is a pain in the keyster, but it keeps things organized)

Thanks for the Links n'jessi, hadn't seen those yet
It's good to know that it's being looked in to
And thanks all for your replies.I know before I becamea tailor I never cared about the sockets, but as a tailor it's different heh. I guess I'll just have to live with it, but it's gonna be hard not living up to my old standards lol, I'll just cringe and bare it I guess. I'll make a note to add it to my "info" that I'll do special orders for 4 sockets or something, which I'll probably regret

Recently, Ifinally took the time to make myself a tailoring outfit. I put together an apron and dumped some clothing assembly, experimentation, and repair tapes into gloves, shirt, and pants. Since then I get more 3 and 4 socked items than 0-2. Previously I was getting more 1's and 2's. Don't know if this has been addressed anywhere, but I just thought I'd share.
