Thread: Clothing Bug?

Last night, a customer went up to me and told me about her brother, a male trandoshan.
She claimed that her brother cannot wear anything "marked" (ie. Casual Shirt (Black) ), that he could only wear clothes only with the default name (ie. Suit Shirt).
Has anyone else heard of this bug?

Wow. That would be bad lol. You sure he didn't try some female-only clothing?

It was a pair of paramilitary camos. From what I know, trandoshans (and just about every species) are able to wear those.

I've never heard of it either. To be honest, it sounds like a player quirk rather than a bug

Hmm, yeah. That's what I was thinking too. That he refuses to wear any cothing that's been renamed. A case of won't, not can't.
I've had afew customers that "won't" wear clothing that hasn't been renamed to their specific wishes and they custom order everything.
This sounds like the opposite side of that coin in customer types. Cuz that is one whacky and rare bug if it is true he "can't" wear renamed items.

Perhaps you guys are right, and it does make sense too sometimes.
Back in the day, I wanted only to wear clothes with the "default names".
With the world being so familiar with the fake "customers are always right" rule, maybe it was a lie to try to get what he wanted.
Bug or lie, it doesn't matter because it's done and over with. Plus, I got paid for that "default name" pair of pants I made anyway

Speaking of bugs, I was making some new clothes to stock on my vendor. I made a black headwrap, and when it went into my inventory. It had a red box surrounding it. I am a female twi'lek, and I can't equip it. That was the first reason that came to my head (why there was a red box around it). Then I crafted another headwrap (this time, brown) and it was fine. That was weird. I deleted that bugged headwrap!

Now that's interesting, I've never had the red box appear on any newly crafted pieces of clothing, but whenever I restock my vendor from the stockroom I've noticed it around a few of the items (I drag it all back into my inventory to relist from there, I find it easier).
I've never tried equiping it though, but I certainly will next time it happens. I've not had any customer complaints so far about clothing they've brought being unequipable but I will keep it in mind. I just figured it was a display bug.
