Thread: The Curse of the Disappearing Clothing!

Mainly just a FYI in case it happens to anyone else.
Customer collected his two clothing sets yesterday, one he put on and the other he put into his backpack. After leaving my store I got a mail from him saying all the clothing had vanished. I replied and let him know there is a boundary bug and the clothes would reappear after server reset (as they always had before). He's just contacted me now to say the clothes he was wearing have reappeared but the set in his backpack hasn't.
He's going to send a bug report in and I'll replace the clothing, but I thought I would let you know in case it happens again. *sigh* and I didn't have enough to do already...

Yeah, it's a sad bug. And somehow they always blame the seller. 
What the person should do is, before logging to drop everything in inventory, and backpack in a house or bank. But keep the backpack with the clothes in equipped. Next time everything is back.
Items which somehow disappeared, and try to reappear when the inventory is full, won't show. You need to have space.
A CSR told me this. I did it, and got stuff back i lost many months ago

Put in a ticket. My husband lost several harvesters this way and a few hours after he put in the ticket a CSR appeared and replaced them in his inventory.

This happened to me a couple of nights ago. A guildie picked up his order from my vendor, only to have the pack poof right away.We waited until after server reset to see what would happen, but the items never reappeared. After putting in a bug report, a CSR refunded the customer his credits. Thankfully, it wasn't that big an order and I was out only two BE tissues.

That happened to my dancer once.. and what's even worse was that you would see yourself as clothed, but everyone else would see you as naked

Its nice to see I'm not alone with this. The customer was a bit 'nevermind' about it happening but I pointed out if it becomes a common bug and I'm expected to replace the clothing each time, I'd end up doing myself out of business!
I'll ask him to let me know what comes of the bug report, if anything, and maybe it will reappear before he picks up the replacement set.
