I apologize in advance if this is a silly question but how are clothes repaired? Aremor and weapons have repair kits. I have a nice shirt with several mods that has decayed. I'd prefer not to lose it but don't know how to get it repaired. Thanks for your help.

The exact same way, a repair tool.

Though finding one may be another story,

Most people care not for clothes and even less when they decay.

I miss doing expeir to raise condition and getting told you can not wear something that is beat up.....

I tried to repair a rebel theme park reward..was at 95/100, used a 100% tool, am master tailor, and I FAILED. It is now at 1/1.

I visit clothing vendors fairly often and don't recall EVER seeing a repair tool on one of them. Are the repair tools crafted by Tailors? Do Tailors hae a higher sucess rate when using the repair tool or is the rate based entirely on the tool? I guess I'll have to start looking for a Tailor on Gorath to make me a repait tool.

Until the clothing decay truly comes to pass, there has been no reason to have them. Clothing still works no matter how badly the condition has deteriorated. I do make them, and I can get about a 74% rating. Master artisans are best, because it's in the Domestic Arts 1 box. Their experiment points allow them to get great quality, but that might be meaningless as there really doesn't seem to be a correlation between the quality of the tool and the repair results.

I've tried with my clothing repair outfit and best tools, as well as worst tools and no skill. The difference doesn't seem to be that much, but it does show...

We do get a bonus and the tool quality does matter from what I have seen.

The numbers have completely changed since I did this, though. I re-did the experiment after the repair nerf (which was the same publish as the wookiee pillows) and we still got a bonus and the tool still matters, but the chance of repair for a non-tailor was improved a bit while tailors no longer almost automatically got good repairs. I think that those numbers were posted somewhere too.

If I remember correctly they are crafted by artisans and we Tailors get no bonuses for repair even if one skillbox really is called repair.

I used a really good Armour repair tool also on a jabba reward item I failed and got a 1/1. *sniffles* I just got it the other day. And it was hard on me doing so as a dancer artisan tailor with only little rifle skills...

What I want to say is you might fail also(as it is with all repair kits) and to why tailors normally don't have repair kits on sale is they normally sell badly... even good ones.

Don't use 100% Repair Tools. They are bugged. 98% Repair Tools will give you a much better result.
