Thread: My Value Line
I've recently started placing lower level items such as shorts, simple shirts, casual jackets and plain short robes on my vendor in nice tailoring 1 and 2 colors at around 75-200 cr each. People without a lot of money hit my shop fairly often to buy my cheap outfits. And sometimes by the time they've finished putting together their perfect outfit they've blown 500 credits on stuff that would be thrown away in other colors. Pretty much everybody wants to look nice and the stuff I put up is much more friendly on the eyes than newbie clothes. I call this my Value Line.
Of course people aren't going to want to be stuck in this stuff forever. I keep up with my emails and see that the people that find the cheap things at my shop eventually start buying more expensive items from me. It's a great way to attract a loyal customer base. (Because people associate you with selling things at a reasonable price) and of course your name is on the item. People do get in touch that way.
Give it a try. Newbies do appreciate it.
A similar thing i've tried is doing a lot of casual pants, shorts, and short sleeve shirts and jackets in colors that are, well, L O U D. Some color combos are just not going to sell at high price, but people will get the for a lark.
