I made the infamous Matrix Smock and entitled it "Benj Caliman Custom Tailoring: Come Check me OUT!" as the name, priced it at 3000 (which is twice my normal price), added my waypoint in the description, and 4 days later..poof...someone bought it.

Not only did I get great advertisement for 20 credits, but I made a HUGE profit. Now bear in mind, I generally at the most only have 40K in the bank at any one time (Still struggling to get rep), so 1500 extra bucks is great for me.

Just thought it was funny. Even funnier is in the description I put in that I sell this item for 1500c at my store. Come by for a visit.

maybe subconsciously, i wanted to see if the matrix smock could sell for 3000. In actually I did it to show something nice that they can look forward to at my shop. who knew?

You might want to contact the buyer and check with him. I had this happen to me once, and it turned out the buyer got some odd idea in his head about the item, like that he *had* to buy it to shop at my store, or something - like it was an admission ticket. Strange and wholly inaccurate of course, but we all can get odd ideas in their head about this game sometimes....

I get odd ideas in my head even when I'm not in this game.

I put up my ad as auction, so noone can buy it from the bazaar. I think that's better this way, incase you got spoiled competition...

I would return the money.

If I had done that, and figured out what happened I'd go nuts. Plus, it sound like what he really wanted to do was to use your services. What better way to show you run an honest business by returning the cash? If he really was interested in your tailoring, I'm sure you'd get the money back in trade.

I used to put ads in the details section of factory crates. I wouldn't use full crates and I always warn people about it in the description. People keep buying the ad because they assume they are buying a full crate. Now I could make 3K for one reinforced panel but I always contact the buyer and return the money. I guess I need a better way to make an ad.
