Tailors make good money, no idea what your talking about. If your a novice tailor you shouldn't have to be running missions. Well, I hope your wife enjoys the time she will have back with you. Don't let the door hit your *** on the way out.

Oh, and yes the maintenance costs are ridiculously high but thats only on terminals, NPC's still are cheap even though I think they'll change it soon but I doubt the maintenance costs will remain so high. If they do *shrug* just charge the customers more which is probably what the devs intended.

The game is not the only thing SOE has that is bugged I see.
As I was saying - my wife is so excited - she will have her husband back! Since I wasted so much time becoming a Useless Tailor and now they are going to run maintenance costs up - thus making me a useless merchant as well - guess I will just give up.[Little does she know that its college football season!]

Seriously though, I love the quote from one of the Devs about too much money floating around. And the vendor 'fix' will help with that -- ha ha ha -- that is why I still have to run deliver/destroy/crafting missions to supplement my income - because I have TOO MUCH MONEY. What a laugh. Sure, there are people in this game that have more money than they know what to do with - but not struggling Tailor/Merchants. I have to pay for power / harvester maintenance / factory maintenance / shop maintenance - I mean give me a break would you. So go ahead charge more for vendors, I love that. OH and please do it by volume so that I won't be able to keep a good selection on hand. This is getting so old!

Novice Tailors do not make good money. If I'm lucky I make 600c a day on actual clothes I sell. The rest I get from running missions or selling excess power.

There were Novice Tailor who made great money but now it's getting harder as more and more Masters are popping up. If I can't fit all their needs they go to someone else. That said the only time I run missions is when I feel like grinding and need to get extra supplies right then to do so. I run the missions while I grind so it kinda pays for my time that way.

When I only had Novice Tailor, I sold belts for 200, shirts for 300, pants, jacketsand wookiee stufffor 400 and smocks and robes for 500. I would sell a minimum of 10 things a day on the bazaar by paying attention to what was on there and stocking the things that few people were selling. Ex. There were 30 people selling shirts on the bazaar but only 5 selling pants. That day I would make more pants.

I made more than enough to cover harvester costs and such. When I needed extra cash for a new gun or house, I would sellextra resources on the bazaar, but for the most part I was able to do fine on clothing sales. I would usually have 20-24 things on the bazaar at once and would restock every couple of days. I'm not saying that Novice Tailors will get rich, but it should be easy to makemore than 600 credits a day.

OK OK -I deserved some of that.

I was angry (with myself) for not looking into Tailor before I went for it.

I am over my little 'thing' - still have some complaints but I am addicted again.

My poor wife!

tailors *can* make money (of course it would help if some masters didnt sell high end items for nothing thus making impossible for newbie tailors to make a penny) however, be aware that so far we've made it pretty dern clear to the devs that vendors are not to be the money sinks. Don't be too hasty
