Thread: How much clothing do you have on your vendor right now?
70 on the main vendor, worth probably 140k.
Around 45 on the secondary, worth about 80k.
About 325 items on one vendor.. no idea on the worth. I'm mulling over the idea of a 2nd vendor, but haven't figured out how I'd divide stuff up logically. My top sellers are pretty much unisex, so trying to break it down by male vs. female wouldn't work. I guess I'll see how it pans out.. people don't seem to have too hard a time finding what they want. Or if they do, they aren't telling me. :-)

I have 5 vendors in my shop with a 6th vendor in my PAs mall.
I have found that players still do not know how to use the Next Page feature of looking at stuff on a vendor. So each has right around 100 items on display. So that would be 550-600 items total.
Figure 1000-2000 average price for an item for a next value of 500k-1mill+ credits in inventory.
I have about 350 spread about between 4 vendors. sorted like so:
Women's Clothing
Accessories & Wookie Wear
Field & Casual Wear
Teli-Wear Limited (Master Tailored items)
I put that i have 300+ items in stock as a part of my advertising. I think it helps.
The merchant nerf... er, Maintenance Change scared me abit since I generally dont have much money to begin with.
And lately my vendor has began to shoplift items for herself without paying me. I think she may have given some items away without charging as well.
Combine that with her constant attitude towards keeping the items in stock and she makes me want to pull my blaster on her.
Im looking at having her tell everyone to just send me E-Mails with want they want because I cant keep her paid otherwise. Only problem is that she forgets to do that after awhile. :sigh: And the Global Advertisement Contract that has to be renewed every day tends to stay turned off so I dont have many customers coming through the shop itself anyway.
More and More I turn to face-to-face business in a shop full of displays. I love the displays and have a second house waiting to be built when I find a nice spot near my other one for additional displays. Im all about getting the customer just what they want. To bad my vendor is all about taking money out of my pocket.
I've got another 100 or so on my armor vendor, that seems pretty good.
I've got 4 vendors.. albeit one is for a PA mate of mine to sell his armor through. My main 3 are for each catagory of clothing, named Formal, Casual & Gear. They've got about 60-80 items on each (2 of everything I can make.. I'm 1/2/2/2 right now so thats not a crapload of stuff.. but still alot).
I used to have 1 vendor until I realized how much an extreme pain in the arse it was to re-set 150 items once a week.
I think we need to make a petition on the main forums to reduce the vendor re-set to once a month or so.. once a week is just a bit to much.
I have 3 vendors in different locations. I keep each stocked between 150-200 items. But it's a killer when I get those auction unsuccessful emails. I had to resell about 200 items today. It's a good thing you can resell something in a vendor from another vendor, but it's still a nightmare... ![]()
Sometimes I wonder if I'm putting too much in one vendor... but then there are SO many things to sell, I can't decide, so I put them all in. I mean, do customers actually bother looking beyond the first page?
i probably have around 500+ in my 3 shop vendors and my outlet vendor down the block, then maybe another 60 or so items in my guild shop. i have 5 vendors for clothing, and 1 vendor for Odi's meds, some spices, and the occasional food. yes, restocking is a pain, and whenever my vendor throws out half of my stock ... grr, speaking of which, look what my vendor's doing now, and i'm nowhere near home ![]()
ihave no idea how much my stock is worth... 1+ mil probably, all i know is that if i sold it all, i would be a rich little twi'lek ![]()
About 320 items on one vendor. I really like Fayfe's idea of using a dummy vendor for resource storage...my shop isn't really big enough to warrant a second clothing vendor, but it might be nice having that extra space in my inventory.
I'd love to be able to put on a gown and lose the backpack for a while. ![]()
