Ok I admit it. I raced through Tailor in six days only grinding ribbed shirts and cartridge belts for the holo grind. But, after becoming a Master Tailor I decided to keep the profession because it seems like it might be a lot of fun. I cant believe how many tells im getting. However, Im lost because I dont know how to make anything. First, How do u make you own schematic? What I mean is if for instance I want to make BE clothes that require synthetic cloth from identical crates how do i put the BE stuff in? How do I add Sockets to clothes and what are they? lol I get alot of tells on that. Im not sure how to make a schematic either. Please have mercy and help I want to give this profession that I would never have considered before the holo a real chance. ty

Tissues are added to synthetic cloth or reinforced fiber panels when you firt make them. Many of the clothes you will use these on will require that you make them in a factory. Sockets are random on clothes, but the closer you are to master tailor, the more likely you are to get 4 socketed clothes. If you really want to get into it, check out both links on my signature for more information

Well agood way to start is to read the faq stickied above, which has answers to common questions, as well as websites which have articles that are useful (including swgtailor.com - shameless plug!)

In the meantime:

  1. Schematic - stand near a wearables crafting station using your wearables crafting tool. Craft your item. Before final customization box you will get a box saying "make prototype" and "make schematic". Choose make schematic. Then you choose how many you want to make. I would say choose the full 1000 because you can always put in fewer materials and limit your production that way. Now here's the important part - if you make a synth cloth schematic with a given fiberplast (say "Tegabif") and a certain polymer (say "wekofobe")you have to use those specific material names in your factory. Not just any fiberplast will work - because the factory-made panels are carbon copies, they need the EXACT same materials. There are more advanced lessons when you start BE stuff, but let's stick with just making factory components such as trim, synth, etc

  2. Don't worry about BE stuff until you get the basics down. It's too much to digest. Just tell people that, for now, you don't do it. Continue to read up on it, and then, when you feel comfortable with factory stuff, you can tackle BE. There are stickies up which explain it better than I ever could.

  3. Sockets are based on tailoring skill and are completely random. Think of them as presents from heaven.

Make some factory runs of components and try to make one of every item that you have the schematic for (even if you discover it's ugly). Search out all your rare materials. Then, tackle BE stuff when you're comfortable with your tools of the trade.
