What's the best way to level up your tailoring once you get novice tailor? Should I get a whatchamacalit to do more than one tailoring job? How much do they cost?

Go for Ribbed Shirts to level IV Field Wear then Cartridge Belts for the rest of the Tailor tree.
When u start producing for real and not going for the XP u get a wearable factory and create schematics that u put in the factory. This is to make loads of clothes and reinforced panels,synthetic cloth and so on.

I actually did ribbed shirts, then link-steel gloves, THEN cartridge belts..

Will using a wearables factory give me experience faster? Or should I do it one at a time with practice mode?

Well Dnelle u dont get any XP by using a wearables factory.
Its for producing alot of clothes or fiberpanels,cloth,metal fasteners that needs to be identical.
