Thread: Starting out tailoring

Hi everyone...

I guess I'm looking for a little advice here... My goal is to become a Master Dancer, but I'd like to be able to make my own costumes. So, I'd also like to try to work at tailoring.

Does anyone have any advice on the best route to go for tailoring while also working up to Master Dancer? Does most of the advice out there for Tailors also apply for those moonlighting as a tailor for this sort of thing?

I guess I'm just feeling a little overwhelmed by the scope of crafting, and not really sure what my first steps should be.

I actually started from scratch on TC, with a slant to clothe my entertainer as I went up the tree, instead of grinding. Read the FAQ and also try my tailoring journal on Swgtailor which has a lot of articles that can help you get started.

Good luck, and don't be shy to ask any questions

Thanks for the reply.

Just read through your journal. It definitely sounds like a lot of work, but hopefully I can persevere. My big goal is Master Dancer, but I think it would be really great to be able to provide my own costumes. And, I'm running into the same thing you seemed to be running into with your characters on the Test Center. I want to do more than I can with one character. It's so tempting to get a second account so I can have my Master Dancer, a Master Tailor, and an Image Designer...and all the other little things that look really fun and cool.
