Hi! I just become Novice Tailor today (Thank you very much) and I now have two, hopefully simple, questions for you experiencedtailors.
1. What should I craft to grindTailor? What givesthe most experience points?
2.Will I need synthetic clothes in many schematics?

Yes Synthetic cloth is used in a lot of items, it's the component that we use most in general.

"The best one?" There is no "best" component—just those that are used more frequently (i.e. synthetic cloths) and those used less frequently (i.e. fiberplast panels.)

No, I mean the biological components that are required for synthetic clothes. Which one is best to use?

Again, there is no best. And they're optional—biologicals for SynCloths can grant bonuses to injury/wound treatment, wound healing music/dance, or taming wild/vicious creatures—"the best" depends on what your client wants.
